"The house was perfect. There was a house across the way that had several dogs that barked a lot the first night, but that isn't the hosts fault. We felt the house was cozy, clean and perfect for our girl’s weekend."

"This was our first time in Oregon and we loved our stay in Government camp! The cabin was rustic but in very good shape, comfortable bed, clean bathroom and kitchen. The working fireplace was a very nice plus!We weren’t expecting the property to be quite so rural, it was a ways down an unpaved road off a highway - would recommend 4WD especially if there is any chance of weather (it was 15deg cooler at altitude than down the mountain in Hood River) but may have been on us for not understanding the layout of the Government Camp area better.Overall would definitely recommend if you want a very private getaway way out in the woods!"

"We only spent one night, but my 7 year old and 3 year old lived it. We played in the games tent. They gave us free coffee and it was super homey. The beds were pretty soft, but I recommend bringing a pillow if you can."

"We absolutely LOVED Government Camp. The location is perfect for cruising down to the restaurants, store and ice cream shop. The home was the perfect place for our family get together. Lots of room to spread out and great spaces for everyone to sleep. The home was clean, kitchen was fully stocked, and the bathrooms had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed sitting in the hot tub after a fun day of exploring. Thank you for hosting us!"

"The house was better than expected. Super clean, quiet, large deck (with visiting deer), and well equipped with just about everything you need. Lake is just across the road, but well away from the RV/tent park and all the noise that can happen there.I would have liked reading lamps in the master bedroom, but not a deal killer.Looking forward to visiting again sometime."
