The palace/hotel is rather impressive, and it is not every day you can have breakfast in such a beautiful setting. However, for the price, I had expected a better breakfast than continental. Also, while I had arrived at summer’s end, I was surprised to learn that the restaurant was closed in the evening. Also, there were no notifications nor any information in the room room about activities or dining in the area.

The King bedroom I got was more like a suite! Beautifully appointed - a sitting area with comfy chairs, a desk area, a huge bed, and tons of room in between. The bathroom has a separate dressing room! The hot water was immediate. I will definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Castle! This is a great hotel for the history lover or those looking for a unique hotel experience! The spa and restaurant are being renovated but a very good continental breakfast was provided. The room was exceptionally large and comfortable. For the Expedia price, it was a fantastic bargain! Our highest recommendation!

Not safe dangerous staff shift 8/10.i was threaten verbally abused intimidated in front of my 8 year old son.I had to leave the next day due to safety concerns to Opus westchester MG laura Mazzaca on the call that evening does not manage staff well No costumer service she did not fo is suppose to be a 4star hotel. what a shame! stay away from this place.No restaurant operating since oct or November. front desk overnight name sayd. trust me he scared me,believe me “hates women due to his culture my accent? the MG on the call should be fired did not act accordingly not e check cameras fire th me a guest she was on the that Sayd decided to call her at 11:30! she was rude passive aggressive towards me she was woken up late! Says, threaten me at least 3 times I have videos to proof it. police charges filled.It is not a 4 star hotel maybe 2 right now. no staff only one person every shift forget about a manager on property they don’t care about guest only money! i had a suit that cost me over $1500 for 3nights i got a second suit for a friend also with cancer same nigh also a suit this guy lied saying room only available was a $700 just sleep! we are back to IL this man threaten me and my life in front of my little boy 8 years old.I checked out the day after because i was afraid of this man being the only person on the property for the night shifts! we checked into westchester opus!did drive back to this Hotel met this Laura her own staff in front desk said BAD GM and person.

Beautiful catle with an interesting hisotry. It was nice that we could freely walk around and explore the castle. Some updates to the carpet and furniture in the rooms would be helpful, as well as putting out the cushions for the outdoor seating areas, but overall a wonderful cadtle experience.

I knew what to expect coming in so wasn't as surprised as some others I spoke with while staying.The hotel seems in need of a few upgrades in rooms. The bed was extremely comfy but of two very very old chairs one had a tear in the seat and the other was propped in a corner broken lol. The pretty antique table was wobbling so they removed it to fix (never saw again) pool is lovely and peaceful and relaxing as are the grounds. David at the front desk was very helpful. Little things like the garbage in the breakfast room spilling over for more than 24 hours I was amazed no one noticed. As previously stated breakfast is an underwhelming array of worse than entenmans pastries, litte gross muffins, although there is fruit, bagels, croissant present. I asked a lot of questions and it seems that staff onsite are constrained in choice by higher powers who seem to be making BAD choices where an obvious choice is so simple! Eg buy high end pastries for a high end hotel or use a local caterer/baker. People pay enough,They can afford to do this at the least regardless of the restaurant being what I think will be closed a long time. In addition the hot tub was totally closed which was also a poor choice by whatever corporate entity is making these decisions. Listen up folks....People usually only have a big wedding once, but if people love your hotel theyll return over and over. Stop putting so much energy into venue events and more to getting repeat visitors. Overall Relaxing

This property has a special feeling; the management has done nicely making you feel that you are staying at a castle. The spa is being renovated, so there wasn't availability of this, but perhaps there could be an agreement with another spa for services. One notable item though, is the lack of food availability. Given this nicely decored/appointed facility, it's really glaring that there are not staff dedicated to a restaurant; perhaps more of a breakfast would help, as much of what is available is what you would find at a convenience store (except the fruit- it was indeed fresh). I would still overall recommend the hotel- the staff is very helpful and pleasant and the grounds are lovely. I look forward to the re-opening of the spa and perhaps an eatery.
