Friendly staff upon arrival.
Suite was clean comfortable and spacious but needs a little TLC here an there.
Lovely little basket of breakfast goodies and snacks and a fridge with water milk juice jams and butter for us to use.
Only downside is the beer gardenThe smoking are was directly under the windows. We dont smoke so that wasnt too pleasant. But overall was a lovely stay and would come back.
Accommodation was clean bright and comfortable, continental breakfast was varied and fresh and we were supplied with more milk when requested. Only drawback is the flight of stair leading to the room which are quite steep and may be a problem with those who have difficulty with stairs.
Very nice lady for check in. Room was very nice and we slept well. Television tricky to work but got there in the end. Different lady on check out but very nice also. Had a very pleasant time thank you.
Lovely stay in this B&B above a pub/brewery. Had a pint downstairs in the bar, it was Karaoke night but it wasnt on too late and bed was very comfortable so great nights sleep.
Perfectly located for the harbour, the train station and the bus station we were very pleased to find The Little Angel. On arrival Wendy was lovely and very helpful and the box of crisps and breakfast supplies and fresh milk in the fridge was a lovely surprise. The ceiling is a little low in the bedroom but this is to be expected in an old building and we had no bumped heads. The bed was extremely comfortable. The sitting room is above the beer garden so you do get a bit of noise at night but its a pub and they close it about 10.30pm so wasn't a problem. There is only permit holder parking in the area but we parked in one of the long stay car parks which was fine and only a short walk if you dont have hundreds of bags and you can pay by app for nore than one day at a time. The pub itself is well stocked with something for everyone and even brew their own beer. I would definitely stay here again if we came to Whitby
Little gem of a place, lovely little suite photos are absolutely honest, really clean and warm with a great shower and a comfy bed. The staff were welcoming and helpful. If you have mobility issues though this isn’t the accommodation for you, stairs up to the flat door then another short but fairly steep set up to the suite door, another short but steep windy staircase to the bedroom from the lounge, I did however find this a nice quirky addition. One thing to bear in mind is that your are over the outdoor garden to the pub and whilst the music from the pub is not an issue the noise from patrons is loud and only stops when the pub shuts, if your going to be out as well then won’t be an issue but a peaceful night in isn’t going to happen. That said I would stay there again because it was a nice place to stay.
Whilst trying to check in at the bar, the barmaid was too preoccupied playing on her phone -another bar customer had to attract her attention for her to come to me. Also when buying a drink in the pub the next evening , not one of the 3 barmaids smiled or looked remotely interested in giving good customer service handing over the card payment machine (it’s cards only payments) over without even looking at you or breaking in a smile/acknowledgement! The staff spoilt what was otherwise a beautiful stay in a convenient and gorgeous set of rooms…
Accommodation was excellent and really had anything you could need, looked after by hosts, only negative could be brewery noise. We are returning again.
A lovely place to stay from arrival to departure we really enjoyed our stay , the staff were lovely and catered for all our needs, all the rooms where very clean and tidy , the bed was very comfy, the bathroom perfect and the living room felt like home , the basket was full of lovely items and the fridge full of everything we required , WiFi was very good ,we ate out but the table and chairs , cutlery and glasses provided was perfect for a meal if required.
Great quirky accommodation and location. Substantial breakfast basket was a nice touch. Watch out for Live Music night though, very noisy until 1145 on Friday, take your ear plugs unless you want to join in.
Lovely accommodation set over two floors. Bed and sofa very comfortable and bathroom extremely clean. Very well decorated and very generous breakfast basket. Only downside would be having to access through pub garden which was very busy during the evening and was quite noisy until late but would stay again as accommodation makes up for that 😊
Lovely location fantastic space with a lovely living space to chill out as well as a super bedroom and grear shower . Will definitely be back !! If you are used to early nights maybe bot ideal as a above a busy pub and beer garden which is load till 11.30 pm didnt bother us at all as we sat and had a few beers .
We expected a room and it turned out to be a suite! Clean and well maintained. Shower was great so long as it’s use didn’t coincide with the brewing process in the downstairs micro-brewery.
