"Had a 1 night mid-week stay here & it was brilliant. From check in to leaving it was all done quickly & smoothly.
The apartment was nice, comfy & spacious. Even though its part of a pub albeit next to not above it was really quiet & didnt hear a thing from the pub itself.
The staff were really friendly & acomadating & so were the locals who frequent the pub.
Would highly recommend staying in here to anyone & i certainly would again when in the area."

"We used the Pickled Parson as a home base for a month while visiting family. The room we had for that duration of a stay was a little small, but it was comfortable, clean and made up daily. The staff were all amazing and really made us feel at home. A very relaxed atmosphere with great breakfast options. The bar was a great option to wind down at the end of the day with a night cap.

"We were first offered a room with no views of anything as the windows were boarded up. The hotel was/is going through some refurbishment and the decor in the room we turned down and the one we accepted was however first class. The decor was very tastful, the furnishings and fittings were to a very very high standard. Bed was huge and the sheets & pillows were very comfortable....... Egyptian cotton?Probably would have extended our stay had we had a sea view but on whole we'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Would we stay here again, definitely without hesitation."
"Stayed as a solo traveller for one night for a quick visit to Whitby. Staff were very friendly on the phone when I called to firm up arrangements, and same when greeting me when I arrived. Good amount of private parking available. I arrived at 11:30am before chicken in (3pm) but no issues using the car park while I explored the town.
When I did check in, I found the room clean and comfortable. The decor may be a little dated but it was perfect for my needs. Bathroom looked fairly new and shower worked well. Heated towel rail and good collection of towels for my stay. Bed was super comfy and had a great nights sleep, also in a nice quiet part of Whitby!
I didn't try dinner or breakfast as I had other plans so can't comment on these, but from my experience I would come and stay here again."
"On the whole, our experience was positive. The room was spotless, relatively recently decorated, and with fairly good amenities. We had some difficulty locating the kettle, which was in built-in wardrobe rather than next to the tea and coffee, cups etc, however those guests needing wardrobe space wouldn’t be disappointed. There was also a mini fridge.
The beds and bedding were immaculate and good quality, and there were limited toiletries provided.
Unfortunately though, I have taken off one star because of the abysmal - or should I say non-existent - customer service. I had a query regarding parking prior to actual check-in time. We knew we would be arriving earlier than 3pm so I contacted the owners to ask if it was ok to park in the morning, however received no response to messages sent through Expedia and left on their answering machine, and then once I’d found their email address on their website I sent another message asking the same question but all the response I received said was “thank you”. We parked there anyway and it wasn’t a problem.
We will definitely be staying here again though, despite the lack of customer service, as it is extremely good value for money and very conveniently located in the town, around a 10 minute walk away from the centre/ railway station."
