Newby Bridge Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Pet friendly able to have breakfast and evening meals in the bar area"

Lakeside Hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"Nice hotel in a lovely setting. Our lakeside view double room was very spacious and comfortable but a little bit dated. With only one window it made the room very dark and the room lighting options weren’t very good. You had to have every light on in order to look in the wardrobe or use the vanity table , which made the room far too bright. The bathroom was ok but needed hooks on the back of the door to hang wet towels or Bath robes . Food and drink at the hotel was very expensive and over priced for what it was. The spa facilities and swimming pool were modern and in good order and my daughter was delighted with the Swedish massage that you had. The biggest problem that we had was the poor facilities at the hotel for charging electric cars. I have a hybrid car which needed charging every day but the hotel wanted £25 per day to use their charger. I fully charged my car in a town car park for £6 which is about the going rate for public chargers but was very inconvenient as it meant we had to stay in one place for too long. I would have preferred to charge overnight at the hotel. The hotel needs to install two or three charging points from one of the many companies that now supply them or get the council to install public charging points in the two public car parks at the front of the hotel. The one I used at the car park in Grassmere operated by Fuuse was very good and I would recommend it. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Lakeside and the staff were friendly & helpful."

The Commodore Inn
8/10 Good
"We stayed in rhe Porthole room. Positives - excellent location, reasonably priced with fabulous view over the railway line and the estuary. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good value and enjoyable as was the evening meal we purchased, although a little pricey for pub food. Comfy bed, some nice decor in the room, and the 2 chairs in the bay window meant we could sit and admire the view whilst enjoying a cup of tea. Negatives - damp patch on ceiling, shower temp went from very very hot to warm by itself, so we avoided using it again, toilet leaked and bathroom door didn't close. Staff apologised for a leak in one area of the hotel however overall general areas need refreshing. Summary - you get what you pay for. Price reflects the standard of accommodation."

The Bridge Inn
8/10 Good
"Some of the nicest staff members ever. Good food options and a delicious breakfast. The only criticism was the damp and mildew en-suite."

The Townhouse Boutique Hotel
8/10 Good
"Hotel is in good location. Close to rail station and verious bus stop, restaurants etc. I arrived early and my room was ready so that was great 👍 and I was really happy about it. The problem is that building is closed during the day and no one around to help if something goes wrong. When I arrived to the hotel on my second night I find out that my bathroom light is not working. Manager has sent 2 staff members but they couldn't help so I didn't have light there at all. Room was very clean in general but shame about bird droppings on the window. Looked very messy and unhygienic."
