Everything was wonderful!

"My husband and I enjoyed our week here very much. The home was exceptionally clean and very, very well stocked with everything we could use.There was ample towels for the beach, towels for the bathroom, beach noodles, beach chairs and umbrella. carrying bags for the grocery store. The bathroom had more than enough toilet paper, little bottles of soap, shampoo, and conditioner. More than we could possibly use.For us, the location was perfect as it was very close to the beautiful beaches and Skinny Legs restaurant.There were plenty of books and maps for us to acclimate and get accustomed to the area as well as a perfectly functioning television with live TV and a plethora of movie and series options. There was definitely truth in advertising because everything we saw before we looked at our vacation was definitely there plus more. My husband and I very highly recommend this place. Thank you very much.Susie & John M. "

A Wonderful and Relaxing Stay

"Staying at the On a Whim house was a wonderful experience for our family. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided, and the extra details were much appreciated, like the weights, snorkeling gear, and coolers. The space is well laid out and very clean, and the view/location is hard to beat. Dwight, the property manager was also excellent. We ran into a water issue during our stay, and he was very quick to resolve it. We can not say enough great things about this spot and hope to visit again in the future!"

"We rented a wonderful villa built with really nice woodwork and stonework. The owners were very helpful and provided great directions, among other things. The house was nicely furnished with all the amenities we needed. It secluded up on a hillside overlooking Coral bay. We would recommend it highly. "

Casa YaYa boasts stunning views, indoor/outdoor living and the perfect location!

Views as advertised---the perfect location

"Casa YaYa was just the right speed for our family, which loves privacy and relaxation on vacation. We picked the house for its location and view, both of which were as good as advertised. We all spent as much time as possible out on the deck, and more than one nap was taken in the rope hammocks during afternoon siesta time. At this time of year (April), the breezes were cool and wonderful. The only thing folks need to be aware of is that the loft is not a sleeping option for young kids. Our 5yo (who is very brave for her age) was too afraid of the ladder to make the ascent, and even our 11yo refused to do it more than once. But they both loved the house, and we are definitely planning to go back. "

"We loved the Rotunda. The views are amazing. We were also glad the property had a generator as the island experienced a few power outages while we were there. We had ten adults and two children under three. Tara arranged for the private vans and water taxi to take our family from the St. John airport to the Rotunda, food to be at the house before our arrival, baby toys and high chairs to be at the house, a private chef for the first and last night of the stay, and a sunset cruise. Dave arranged for three rental cars to be at the house when we arrived. Julie also put us in touch with "Chico" who drove our whole gang back and forth to dinner every night. We plan on returning in the future. "

Sapphire Sunrise~ private pool! Perfect location to enjoy all of St. John!

Just wow

"We were very sad to leave! arriving (as others said) can be daunting given the extreme narrow roads, hair pin turns and steepness of the driveway but once you settle in you realize this is everywhere on the Island! unless you stay in Cruz Bay be prepared for an adventurous trek to/from beaches. It was fun! We ate in a lot and we had everything we needed including beach chairs etc. If I had to say anything negative, the request to take out your trash upon leaving and find a dumpster along the road was a bit of a bummer (I think a cleaning fee should cover this as well). Not want you want to do with kids and luggage already packed in a car. Perhaps the owners can also look into heating the pool? also a bluetooth speaker would have been a plus. All that said, we made some fantastic memories and plan to be back! Spectacular views, gorgeous property and very peaceful. Thanks "

Tropical plants and amaze ng views

"Great place to stay. Elvis showed us all the plants around the property before he left us to enjoy the place which was so enjoyable. The place is cuter than the pictures and the view was the best we saw on trip. It is on a mountain so prepare to be a lil cooler than the beaches. Our mistake was not getting a rental… which was difficult to find taxi small enough to navigate the roads… most taxis are large van/ small buses. So please get a rental as main road up to place is a well maintained road… just curves at top make difficult for larger taxis. Close to Moho bay which was awesome! Also be prepared that there is upstairs unit which we had and renters likely will be on the floor below. So somewhat private… unless they are on the bottom deck and you are on the top! But really a great place. Hope to visit this place in the future!! "

Relaxing stay

"That place was incredible! The pictures don’t do it justice, especially the pool and the view. You could tell all the native stonework was done by some real craftsman and it was well maintained. The grandkids learned to snorkel in the pool and then had a great time snorkeling at the beaches.. All the rooms were well appointed, the beds were comfy and the individual bathrooms and outside showers in each room where a plus that we didn’t expect. We especially enjoyed all the professional landscaping and outdoor lighting. We liked the privacy and quietness of the location. You’ll be sold on the place just coming up the long driveway with all the stonework before you even see the main house."
