"Breakfast had a limited selections but it was very nice. The room was clean and a comfy bed. Staff very friendly."

The only thing we didn’t like was that we booked two rooms, one being a twin and of a higher standard than the double. We were offered two of the same lower grade rooms. We were eventually given the second better room which was lovely, but if it hadn’t been available we would have been paying a premium for the lower...

"The room was very well appointed and modern. However there was a random pill (Advil?) on the floor in the middle of the carpet when we walked in. The walls really desperately need paint. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The room had AC which was excellent! Where the property does not do well is the restaurant where basic instructions like needing to order from the bar are not given. More confusing was that if you wanted dessert, you ordered that from the table. Staff never checked in on food...

"Great rural location (i am not a golfer), really nice room, clean and comfortable and reasonably stylish. Only let downs were; paper thin walls so could hear quiet conversations in the adjacent rooms, and a noisy shower (neighbour showered at 1am!). it was a heatwave; room fans were provided but it would have been good to fully ventilate the rooms. Due to work commitments i had to leave before breakfast so can't comment on that."

"The tv in the room didn’t work and the room was very hot, but the helpfulness of the staff with a different issue more than made up for it! The room was spacious and clean, and the very reasonably priced vending machine in the corridor was useful given there are no other food options at the hotel. The location is central with a big car park nearby, just make sure to pre-book taxis if you need one."

"Not worth the price unfortunately. The beds were made up nicely and comfortable but the curtains have mould at the bottom and the curtain pole isn’t secure so it fell and hurt my hand when I went close the curtains. The bathroom had empty shower gel and soap dispensers. We went out for dinner but on returning the pub door was locked as they closed early. Luckily, a member of staff was still there to let us in and then kindly informed us that there is a back entrance too which we didn’t know...

"The Old Mill is a lovely old building that has been well converted to a b&b. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean and importantly for us, the windows are easily openable. Bere Regis is a small but well connected village, there are many places of interest within easy reach. "

"We really enjoyed our 5 day stay at the Hotel, our standard room was of a very generous size, much bigger than a lot of hotels which was very pleasing. The Hotel throughout was spotlessly clean, and the food was excellent, the staff were very helpful, and the cost was very reasonable, there was always plenty of parking spaces in the car park, and we will definitely visits again, the Hotel exceeded our expectations."
