"Lovely attentive, helpful.and very patient staff. Our bed was really comfortable. Our room did look over the cathedral, which does mean the bells do wake you up at 7am! Still, it is lovely to be close to this amazing, historic building. Location amongst individual shops, which are a bit different, the cathedral and the castle is a real bomus."

"We normally stay at Holiday Inn Express in Lincoln but wanted to give this one ago, we got upgraded, without realising complete surprise and never given before, so Thankyou lovely touches in the room (can’t believe that someone would steal the coat hooks though which were replaced) complementary soft drinks,crisps n choc in chiller in room tea n coffee too. Bathroom lovely n clean again with gels, shampoo n handwash, everything u need. The lounge area and bar areas all comfortable n modern there was even treats for your dog as you enter reception plus iced water orange juice even ice creams for us adults too.We couldn’t fault it and will be back Thankyou to the hard working reception team for smiling and being welcoming,and the housekeeping team making sure we have a clesn comfortable environment. Well Done"

"A wonderful stay at the Lincoln hotel. We went to see Sting at Lincoln Castle the Lincoln Hotel was a perfect choice as within walking distance of the venue. Not to mention the hotel overlooks the Cathedral and gives stunning views of it. We decided at the last minute to eat in the hotel the food was top rate but i felt a bit sorry for the one lady running the whole thing however it was a tuesday night so maybe usually on weekdays they are not so busy. Breakfast was excellent and a lot more staff evident and seeing to everyone's needs so maybe the hotel had compensated for the night before. A really lovely stay. We will definitely go again. "

"Absolutely lovely stay at Duke William hotel. It was the perfect location for us to attend a concert at the castle, just a 1min walk away. The hotel check-in was simple, our room was lovely, albeit compact, the bed is huge and very comfortable, and it is very central and a historic building. Evening bar staff were a little salty, but the day time team were great. The breakfast is pre-ordered the night before, and was really lovely. Nice ingredients and poached cooked perfectly! The icing on the cake for me has to be the aftercare. We had left a jumper at the hotel, loving 2hrs away wasn’t an option, but they happily posted it for me and it was with me 2 days! Outstanding service. "

"Such a beautiful river side hotel with a lovely little court yard as well as a bar, restaurant and coffee shop . Great choice of comfy seating either inside or on the out door terrace by the side of the river in a lovely setting with a view of the beautiful church which unfortunately wasnt open.We had breakfast and dinner which were excellent and reasonably priced too. Lovely comfy clean and spacious room with complimentary tea coffee hot chocolate and biscuits.The only downside: our room was at the back and due to the very warm weather we left our window open. Unfortunately we could hear the noise of the local night club making it very difficult to sleep . Although if the window had been closed it probably woudnt have been as bad. The areas surrounding dont do the hotel justice as it has seen better days with a lot of either empty or derelict shops/ buildings which is such a shame."
