Luxury Cabin on the creek, with sauna, in Lac Du Bonnet, Manitoba (sleeps 8)
10/10 Excellent
"Our family had a great week at Creekside. The house is spacious, beautiful, spotless, and very well equipped. There was plenty to do inside and out, and although there is no beach, the paddleboard and kayaks were well used and our both of our grandsons caught a fish off the dock, which kept them fishing all week. Our granddaughters loved reading in the swinging rope chair. We enjoyed two firesides, indoor and indoor games, the putting green and karaoke machine. The adults enjoyed the sauna every evening. Having lots to do and places to sit kept everyone happily occupied. Our host, Lana, was very good about checking in and answering questions and offered suggestions about things to do the area."
Forest Cabin Getaway! Sleeps 8, Hot Tub, Fireplace
8/10 Good
"Super nice cabin. It was over 30 degrees during our stay and the A/C worked great. 4 bedrooms so everyone is comfortable, pillows could be better. Only one bathroom but the toilet, sink and shower are nicely separated. Hot tub is nice. Great spot!"
"This home had a lot of space for everyone with a lot of bedrooms and washrooms. The kitchen was well stocked and they had everything we needed to cook and bbq. The host was very nice and attentive, and gave clear instructions for the hot tub and sauna. Only suggestion would be to install room darkening curtains in the upstairs bedrooms, it was very bright when the sun came up. It would also help to keep the rooms cooler as well. Everything was great and would recommend for a larger group."
"We recently stayed at the Lac House Inn, but only really slept there for the night as we were attending an evening function in Lac Du Bonnett. The room was clean and tidy , the rug seemed abit dated and the only soap in the bathroom was on an hanger in the shower. A little inconvenient when washing your hands at the sink in the bathroom. We did not realize this until we came back from our evening event late so did not call the front desk for a hand soap . Also the tv remote was very confusing to figure out to locate the local tv guide on. It looked like the motel had a nice eating area and small bar in the main entrance area. We didnot use this service . I would stay here again as the price is reasonable. The check out procedure left us a bit confused as the front desk person was new i think and didnt understand that we were to pay at the property upon check in , which clearly stayed that on my itinerary of which i printed and took with me. When i asked for a receipt of payment she said Expedia would email me a receipt as thats who had charged it , but that was wrong as we had provided a provided a different credit card upon check in At the hotel when asked how we would like to pay. Upon speaking with the manager she was able to provide us a receipt of payment with the correct credit card info before we left the property"
"It was clean and cozy. The hot tub was lovely and the firepit was great in the evenings. We brought plenty of wood and had a wonderful time. The coffee pot died, but the host brought us a new one a couple of hours after we contacted him."
"Comfy stay for two. Came here for some R & R and it did not disappoint. Nice and quiet at the end of the road. Lots of trees. Sauna was a highlight; it had plenty of heat. Comfortable couch and bed. Had all the amenities one needs. Close drive to the old Pinawa Dam, Whitemouth Provincial Park, Otter Falls, Lac du Bonnet, and an easy walk to Seven Sisters dam which we could hear from the cabin. Definitely recommend."
Lac du Lakehouse - Spacious 3bdrm, 2bath Waterfront home on Wpg River in LDB
8/10 Good
"Beautiful home, beautiful views. The only downfall was one of the bathroom vanity lights didn’t work. They tried to have someone come fix it during our stay, but were unable to. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive, allowing us to stay for the weekend and working out all the details to make it happen. "
"The cabin was everything and more! The bedrooms were spacious, kitchen was well stocked (even spices and oil if you forgot yours), the living room area had lots of seating and the deck chairs were so comfortable. The view of the cove was stunning - so beautiful. Our only issue was a power outage in the area for almost 2 days (which was a rare occurrence and not anyone's fault). The 2nd day our neighbour (the owner's father) hooked us up to his generator so we were able to plug in the fridge and have water. He also brought us coffee the first morning - a real gem of a guy. We purchased flashlights and candles and our 3 year old thought we were camping!!! We would highly recommend this beautiful cabin for family or couples who enjoy a retreat and quiet. "
