"This is a clean, well appointed hotel in a great location. But I couldn’t give it a 5-star rating because the layout from the parking garage is confusing. We had to go through several gatherings in a couple of the banquet rooms to find the elevator to our room after entering the hotel from the parking garage. And there were no signs once you enter the hotel. So it’s very confusing. It was already late when we arrived, so it just wasn’t a welcoming experience. But our room had a great view of the water & waterside district & it was quiet & comfortable! Lastly, the employee at the coffee shop (Steam) was kind of rude. A customer in front of us asked if they had a particular breakfast sandwich & she ignored him. When he asked again, she said,”if you don’t see it, we don’t have it; that’s why I didn’t answer you the 1st time”. All I could do was shake my head in disbelief…"

"The Inn at Four Eleven York and its staff can be described as gemstones. The exquisitely renovated old home is a cultured pearl found in this lovely area of Norfolk. Our stay was quiet and very comfortable and our beautifully decorated room and immaculate bathroom were phenomenal, with a well curated assortment of drinks and snacks and luxurious bath items for our enjoyment. The courteous and capable women who attended to our every need, Hilary and Jasmine, are a matching set of diamonds. Hilary was so helpful in orienting us to the Inn, giving us a brief and delightful tour and informing us about the convenient, safe parking and door code. Jasmine made our wonderfully satisfying healthy breakfast showcasing her culinary talents and knowledge of the city when asked about the places we wanted to visit nearby. What a great pleasure to stay at the Inn at Four Eleven York and we certainly hope to return again."

"Didn’t receive any clean laundry because there was no housekeeping service available during my stay. Also the management locked me out of my room before my checkout time was up. "

"My room was #1226 and the toilet needs to be fixed, it rocked when you sit on it… very unsafe. "

"It was clean and well maintained. The staff were nice and the breakfast was nice. It was very quiet."

"The moment we pulled up we were greeted with the the most friendly vallet attendant. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful as well as we were not sure where to park the car at first but one phone call to the front desk aa she noticed us parked and assured us we were in the right spot. The check-in was easy. We were given our keycards and we went up to our room on the 7th floor. The rooms was very clean and spacious. I always like to look around the room before unpacking. I did have to request for some fresh sheets as one the beds sheets had stains. They brought them up within a few minutes later. As i was about to place the new ones on i noticed stains on those as well. I just gave up and slept ontop of the clean comforter. The shower/bathroom area was nice. The room itself was nice and bright with all the modern touches. We did not use the gym."

"Everything was adequate. Its a little dated and not super clean (meaning stained carpet) - but honestly we were at another hotel for a conference int he same city and the other hotel was worse (also a Marriott)."
