Easy access so do not need to use car
Various apartments ours was in the new central building and was very good, spacious and clean although like many places post pandemic it is not cleaned daily. That does not bother us. Very convenient for buses, supermarket and waterfront.

Stairway to comfort.
The motel has several sections old and new. I stayed in the converted house that had loads of character an excellent shower room and was comfortable. The motel has ample safe parking and is located close to a main supermarket and a variety of restaurants and bars. Minutes from the harbour and the National Museum that is a must see.

We stay at Apollo Lodge often (it’s good value, incredibly handy to the city and the beach, and the parking is great) but this was our first time in the new block. The upstairs unit was fantastic - really well designed, modern and spacious, with an excellent living area, a long kitchen bench and great storage for bags. We liked the fact that the person sleeping in the separate room didn’t have to pass through the main bedroom space to access the bathroom. The decor was light and fresh, and there was lots of morning sun to wake up to. Everything was clean and well maintained. As always, the staff were really responsive and helpful. We’ll definitely book the unit again.

It's a good place to stay as it is central and has free parking. We stayed in the Edwardian house, bathroom was modern but the rest of it was tired. Not sure if a plastic washing up bowl that is too big to fit in the bathroom sink and a microwave makes a kitchenette.
