"This was the second time we have stayed at Hocking Lodge while visiting with our grandson at Hocking College. Area is very quiet, safe and secure. Property is very nice. Room is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Breakfast menu is improved with several options and gluten free cereal for those of us who need to eat GF. Thanks so very much for that. Coming from farm life we love the setting with the area surrounding the lodge and seeing the tractors in the fields. We have booked a room here again for grandson's upcoming graduation."

"The overall experience is worth not only the price but the comfort this cabin brings. This particular cabin was a few minutes away from a gas station, restaurant, and a Dollar General for any last minute necessities you may have forgotten. While still having the privacy of woods and a fence."

"Really cute place-clean, nice views, easy check-in and check out and not far off main road! Didn’t have time for a campfire but would’ve been fun with the pre-packaged s’mores. No microwave but heated food on the stove! Tiny mirror! Like postcard size! 😂 Absolutely perfect for a relaxing getaway! Looking forward to my next visit! "

"Didn’t receive the keypad code within 24 hrs of our stay, had to call & then he sent it. Got to the cabin and Xmas decor is up(it’s April). We lost the first night of using hot tub cuz when we got there it was overflowing- the hose was still in it so it was cold. Pans are terrible for cooking & bare minimum provided. Not many towels either. My child had to sleep on the couch cuz there’s a mouse downstairs. Mouse poop in the corner by the pool table supplies. Blood or sauce by the steps to go downstairs where it was dark cuz the light bulb was burnt out. Very serene location but a half hr away from trails. "

"Family spring break was fun for all ages (1-68) loved the lodge, game room, hot tub, fire pit, playset, deck, and loft! Very comfortable and loved the layout for our extended family. Typical early spring weather - rotating sun, rain, wind, cold but we always found plenty to do! Coming out of winter and too soon for a spring deep clean impacted the cleanliness score but nothing major and definitely highly recommend the facilities, location and amenities available. Host was great to work with and very responsive"

"The temperature in the house got up to 78 degrees on our second night and when we tried to use the air conditioning, it was not working. While the hot tub water was fresh, there were no chemicals in the water. There was a cockroach on the kitchen floor on our first morning, along with mouse poop in one of the kitchen drawers. There were ants (most likely carpenter ants) in multiple parts of the house. The rails on top of all the bunk beds kept falling off. There were not window dressings on many of the upstairs bedroom windows. The kitchen sink pipe was leaking. The wood on the deck was hazardous. While we enjoyed our time in Hocking Hills, and we did enjoy the fire pit and outside part of the property, we were disappointed in the house and the money we paid for it."
