"Our family of 4 stayed here as a last hurrah for summer vacation. Our kids are 8 and 12. The kids loved paddle boarding, fishing, swimming and wading in the shallow clear water on the sandy shoreline. My husband and I enjoyed the tranquility of the lake overall. There are specific hours on the lake where tubing/skiing are allowed, so all other times the lake was calm. We caught panfish, perch and a couple bass. Having central air to retreat to was fantastic. "This cabin was easily accessible off the highway in Waupaca but felt secluded. Old Taylor Lake is not swimmable, but we enjoyed kayaking and the SuPs. The kids tried to fish off the dock, but there were not many fish in this lake. We loved the
