It is absolutely, without a doubt, the best place to stay in Galena. Tons to do and see within walking distance. We would definitely do Hotel Galena again! "Only thing was that we believed the carriage house had 1 room turned out it had at least 3 rooms with guest. They could pay more attention to details. Holes in wall and ceiling of bathroom needed to be addressed before renting out."

"Location was perfect. Accommodations were gorgeous. Plenty of beds and chairs for gathering and relaxing. We struggled with overnight /long term parking as the rental only includes one space. We were a group of five women coming from different directions with five cars so help on where to park would have been appreciated. That nuance would not prevent me from recommending this place though."

"the breakfasts were amazing. Carol and Kate were great hosts. My wife and I only had one complaint, that was the bed was way too soft. This is obviously personal preference. We would definitely stay here again. Galenda is an historical town with a lot of charm. We loved our trip. The Steamboat House was a great place to stay. Thanks Carol and Kate."
