"Firstly they tried to charge me an extra £57 for my room. Until I pointed out that we had a receipt proving i had already paid in full. Secondly neither restaurant was open, so despite the website information, no evening meal was available. Thirdly there was no cooked breakfast, only continental. The room was OK, but strange rumbling and drilling noises from somewhere in the building kept me awake. Honestly it would be better if you closed totally for refurbishments, which i assume was going on from all the bits and bobs lying on the flat roof outside my room."

"The hotel was good. It was central. The breakfast was awful. They ran out of many things had to wait for eggs and bacon. It wasn’t fresh orange juice. It was out of a carton if you like golf the hotel is good if you want to go for a relaxing weekend, forget it."

"We stayed for one night before an exhibition at Stoneleigh Park. It was really convenient for that venue. The room was comfortable, breakfast was amazing -and for £11 you got fruit, yogurt, cereals, pastries, and then the full cooked breakfast buffet. The food was fresh, well presented and lots of choice. I did notice a gluten free breakfast bar too. We ate in the evening - not a massive choice on the menu, but we found something we liked. The only downside for us was that the room was hot, but that might be perfect for others. Parking was easy, lovely grounds to walk round and lots of smaller, nook like areas to spend time in. We did not try the gym or other facilities as we arrived late and left early. Would come back again. "

"Room very small, had to inch around the bed to get in the other side, bathroom also small with toilet up against the shower cubicle. Shower had mould around the bottom of tray and on some tiles, toilet brush was unclean and water went down slowly in hand dasin. Small black flies in bathroom. Not very clean. Room could do with a good clean and stairs leading to room. Also room wasn't cleaned after the first night, bed not made, no fresh towels, mugs used and not changed and no top up of coffee and milk, when i asked about room not being cleaned i was told it should have been!!!!!!! But no offer to come up and do it. Hotel is in a great location, car park is a good size, thats all i can say. Didn't try breakfast or the restaurant, ate out. "

"I recently stayed in Room 33 and unfortunately it was a very poor experience from start to finish. The main issue is the location of the room, which is completely unsuitable for guests. It is positioned directly next to the disabled toilets and only about a metre away from the reception office door. This resulted in constant noise throughout the entire stay. Every time the reception office door was opened or closed, it caused our room door to vibrate loudly. This happened repeatedly and made it impossible to relax. In addition, the disabled toilet next door is in frequent use, and we could clearly hear everything — flushing, doors slamming, and general use. The noise levels were excessive and completely unacceptable for a hotel room. After travelling for four hours, we were hoping for an early night, but instead we were kept awake until after midnight due to the constant banging and disturbance. The disruption continued into the early morning. Around 5am, we were woken again by staff changeover, as the room is directly behind reception. We could hear conversations clearly, along with ongoing movement and door noise. This meant our sleep was repeatedly interrupted, making the stay exhausting rather than restful. The room itself also lacks basic comfort. The windows are single-glazed, do not shut properly, and offer little to no sound insulation, which only adds to the overall noise problem. On arrival, we were also disappointed to find that no food was available until 5pm"

"It is a great hotel with good food choice in the Restaurant for both dinner and Breakfast. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The rooms are comfortable clean and have all you need. The Hotel also sits in some wonderful gardens and has Pool and Gym. I have stayed here many times and would always use the hotel when staying in the area. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kings Head. The staff were really friendly, breakfast was delicious and the tapas menu was superb. Some facilities were in need of attention such as the lack of sufficiently hot water in the shower. Overall though we would definitely go back"

"Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The smell was awful being masked by diffusers just not very well. The double room was two singles shoved together. Tiles in bathroom all lifted which caused me to kick them and take my toenail off. "
