"Checkin was good, clean attractive reception area. Room spacious, clean and modern. Coffee machine and water provided, robes, all as expected. Smart TV that was easy to connect to cast from device. Unfortunately, there was ongoing building work at hotel, which was not clear through hotels.com. Room faced directly onto building works which started at 6am with workers shouting outside the room. Called reception who stopped the works, saying they should not have started until 8.30, but started again at 8. Could not sleep from 6 due to being disturbed. Spoke to reception manager who apologised and was offered complementary breakfast (which was accepted) and offered future discount. So, recovery good but could have notified on check in to avoid this horrible surprise. Would stay again if works are completed."
