Home away from home.
A very welcoming reception (with a huge smile) - even though we arrived early. Delicious chocolates on the table. Just a lovely home away from home experience from a delightful couple Alex and Christine. Very experienced operators. Very cosy and spotlessly clean unit. Would definitely return.

Set back away from the busy town. Unique property , felt nice and homely . Bed was comfortable however as it was a slat bed it was very creaky every time you moved . Kitchenette was great with all the essential items to cook etc . They supplied natural sustainable cleaning products which was a nice touch .

Small, Comfortable and Great Value Stay
This is a self-contained unit next to the owner's home. They did a fine job in utilizing a small space. We were able to comfortably enjoy our breakfast (they would provide one for an extra charge) and take-away dinner. They provide a small fridge, microwave and utensils. The owners are knowledgable and their "welcome to our home" orientation to Wanaka provided numerous top-rate creative options. We had privacy yet if/when we required something, the owners were gracious and available. Downtown Wanaka (with numerous choices of restaurants as well as the "around the lake walking trail) is a 5 minute drive (allow time to look for parking!) or a 1.5 km walk. Very good value for the money.

The room was a bit small and the parking was tight. The bed was also very firm. On the plus side, it was clean and the owners were nice, but definitely not a 5-star review place.

Lovely self-contained 1BR unit with kitchen, located around 2-3km from the centre of Wanaka, next to the hosts' private residence. (There's also a studio on the other side of the house.) Best to have a rental car when staying here, as it's just a tad too far to walk to shops and restaurants. Wood burning stove keeps the place very warm in winter. King bed very comfortable, zero noise at night. Baby-friendly with cot supplied on request, many toys and books. Adjoining laundry facilities came in very handy when our 1-year-old came down with a tummy bug! Kitchen was also very well equipped with everything needed to cook simple meals. We will certainly stay again.

Cosy chalet
You might miss the small sign to turn into the chalet, but other than that all is good. Friendly reception, small but clean and cosy chalet. It is quite near to town too. Worth the money.
