"Excellent hotel. Great breakfast and friendly staff"

"Very much liked the Olde Worlde aspect of the hotel. Room and bed were comfortable. Hotel plumbing could benefit from an upgrade. The shower and bath were difficult to operate and the water was very slow running. However, water into the hand basin was fine. We felt the menu for evening meals wasn't very inspiring. The breakfast buffet was good and we were able to order gluten-free options including bread. Overall a very nice stay and would recommend."

"Our stay at Thornbury Castle was amazing! While we were only there for one night, it was a spectacular experience. We felt like royalty. The three course dinner was delicious and well prepped. We stayed in the Mary Queen of Scots room which had a wonderful view of the fountain. The room was spacious and elegant with a host of amenities. All the staff was so kind and helpful. Perfect stop on our honeymoon trip. Definitely plan to return in the future. "

"Hotel was exactly what one would expect from a decent pub chain - nothing to rave about but nothing to really complain about. Only limitation is that although it claims to have “Accessible” rooms there are no walk in showers nor support rails for disabled persons"
