"This was a great hotel, friendly staff and cozy beds…. Can get super busy in the restaurant and around other amenities and property isn’t actually ON the beach as it’s listed so some of the rooms don’t have a plain view of the ocean. All in all, still loved the experience."

"Wanted beautiful ocean views and this place did not disappoint! Place is enormous and had everything we needed, far exceeding expectations. Pictures, although very nice, do not do it justice. The kitchen could have just about anything you need. House was very clean and well decorated. My family spent several hours in the game room, creating lasting memories. The walk to the ocean was quick and quaint. Everyone in my group was very impressed with this rental...we already are looking forward to going back someday!!"

"The location was great for our family. Loved being able to walk right out into the sand and play on the dunes and logs. Unfortunately there was some easy things this properly owner could do that would have resulted in me giving a much higher rating. First impression the front door has huge black grease or something else smudges that need cleaned. Doors especially the front screen door and bathrooms need some serious WD-40. Master bathroom shower does not drain. All though the kitchen is well stocked things are old broken and just way too many pots and pans that it looks like a rummage sale was hit. The pizza cutter (which we actually wanted to use) is so rusty it is gross. Dishes were not clean and we had to wash everything we used. Sand off the porch had dog crap in it so I had to clean up after some other guests dog. Moral of the story despite all this we really did love the view and beach but some TLC is really needed in this property."

"This place was convenient for us to stay on our travels through this area. The town is very small and not really any place to walk. The room was clean although somewhat small and dark. I might stay there again if it was convenient."

"The Moonlit Mermaid is a WONDERFUL place to stay. The interior is filled with natural light and room to spread out; the wifi and tv are top notch, and the kitchen has everything you need. This has been, I think, my 8th stay here and I'll be back!"
