"Expedia should be ashamed to charge for accommodation in what was a hostel for vagrants. During the period that access was unavailable to us, a neighbour told us that the Hamilton was used to house council-sent people, and we saw three such unfortunate people waiting to enter. My wife was frightened by the property when access was eventually gained, describing it as being like her idea of a prison, and I found it forbidding and inhospitable. "Really quirky and comfortable B&B with the most amazing hosts. We were made to feel so welcome and Anna makes the best ever homemade cookies! My friend is gluten and dairy free and Iain and Anna could not have been more accommodating. Excellent breakfast, comfy and very clean rooms. Sorry we only stayed one night! "

"The place was cute, and the neighbor was very kind, he came out to talk to us when we were trying to figure out parking the first night. The drive isn’t big enough for any car larger than a Mini, but there’s ample space for parking on the curb. The only real downside was the amount of bugs within the property. Any corner that was looked at held spiders of considerable size. I don’t recommend this place to anyone who’s as sensitive to those things as I am. We sat on the back porch the first night...

"We had a great time. Staff were great (mostly) and really helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant was excellent, my wife and I loved every dish. The bar was well stocked with some great (and favourite) scotch so that was a bonus. We arrived Friday and left Sunday and on the Saturday we had a late lunch which was lovely, sat outside in the garden with the local church in view. Room was comfy and we had the bonus of a little private courtyard which was unexpected. Our only negative came...

"Great nothing was wrong or bad"

"We arrived at 9pm with a car full of expensive filming equipment, no spaces in the car park. I suggested parking where other cars were parking near the hotel on double yellows but the desk person said this was not allowed and they would be moved on, they weren’t nor were the two non disabled cars in the disabled bays. Parking is very badly managed and desk person totally unhelpful. Feel sorry for any disabled drivers as non of the spaces were being used by blue badge holders"

"New construction business hotel in downtown within walking distance of all sights. Good air conditioning.Wall to wall carpet in hallways and rooms. Good service .Lively neighborhood outside along the water but no noise at least in room at the side and back. Ideal tourist location. Would definitely stay again."
