"Lift out of order. Pool spa out of order. Room and bathroom very tired. Room layout was like something was missing. Bed uncomfortable. Only upside was free water and 2 packets of biscuits."

"This hotel exceeded my expectations. When you entered, the first thing that greets you is the fresh smell. Everything was so clean. Greeted by a staff member who spoke like he was in the ritz hotel. Old fashioned customer service. Wonderful! Room was clean, even the toiletries in the bathroom were good quality. Restaurants nearby. So pleased that we found this gem! Wouldn’t hesitate to go back."

"The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was good and the hosts could not have been more welcoming. Highly recommended."

"Initially we were not impressed with this property. No reception, just a voice at the end of a phone. We never got a "check-in" email, which should have come prior to arrival. We eventually managed to get in the building after 40 minutes. That was the only negative as or room was great, very spacious with clean towels, kettle and fridge, filled with what we needed for breakfast the following morning, which we used in the lovely kitchen the day after. I would recommend this property. ...

"The place was cute, and the neighbor was very kind, he came out to talk to us when we were trying to figure out parking the first night. The drive isn’t big enough for any car larger than a Mini, but there’s ample space for parking on the curb. The only real downside was the amount of bugs within the property. Any corner that was looked at held spiders of considerable size. I don’t recommend this place to anyone who’s as sensitive to those things as I am. We sat on the back porch the first night...

"Air-conditioning non functional gave up in end Bathroom a bit musty fan not working Which seems to be normal in hotels these days Was very busy so staff seemed a bit short at times 2 cleaners arguing in lift lobby so we had to wait for lift until they had finished Been here before don't think will be back a third trip Not for the price we paid"

"Fantastic location, only a short walk to the Castle, Cathedral and older parts of the City, avoiding the Steep Hill. Added bonus is to have parking on site, albeit a little bit of parking jenga at times having to move cars around to accommodate other guests wanting / needing to move. Staff are very nice as were the other guests who you sit with in the shared tables at breakfast."

"Our stay was very good. It was in the middle of the steep hill. So, was a minute walk from Lincoln castle. Around the hotel was lovely boutique shops and cafes. The a Hotel had a coffee shop that served lovely food. We would definitely return to Rest hotel. 😍"

"The hotel is outdated and in a very poor state of decor. Paintwork old and flaking,windows filthy, carpet not even hoovered, superior double costing over £200 was appalling. Two single beds shoved together and not even joined, sink plug stuck in down position, had to lift out to get it to drain, sink cracked, toilet seat loose, bathroom flooring cracked...and so on. Breakfast booked but nothing available, kept having to wait for items to be fetched and cooked, staff very slow indeed. Overall...
