"We were a group of 12 women and found Villanovia to be the perfect place. Some of our favorite things about Villanovia *panoramic views from all sides of the property *multple ourdoor seating areas, both for relaxing & dining/games *each bedroom/apartment has its own bathroom We had the villa chef, Mama Toscano, prepare 2 meals (pizza & Lasagna) and did a ravioli pasta making class. We loved the food and the cooking experience. We do not speak Italian so had a use google translate when needed, but it all went very smoothly. Before i booked the villa i had read other reviews about the road getting to the villa. It is a gravel road that is pretty rough/bumpy in places but we had no issues driving our cars on these roads. Just slow down, take your time and enjoy the amazing views. I would definitely return to Villanovia!"

"The drive up the mountain to Volterra was stunning. Then we arrived and parked in a nearby car park long enough to move our luggage to the hotel. The staff was very helpful showing us where to move the car to park for free. The entrance to the hotel is right in the middle of the historic town. So many shops and restaurants to explore. The room was large and beautifully laid out, with roses and sweets on the bed. There are alabaster craft shops around, we stepped down a small alley and found the GMG Alabaster and Ceramic workshop, where Bruno was filing away on his latest creation. There is an ancient Roman amphitheater in town, and just a short walk from the hotel is an overlook across the countryside, be there for sunset! The hotel has a rooftop garden, and the breakfast was expansive and delicious! "

"The house is located in a small spot with 3 other houses and 2 being built. Some have mentioned the road in, but if you’ve been to Italy it’s not a big deal, typical gravel road, easy to navigate. The property has great views and is in a good place to explore northern Tuscany. It is a small house, perfect for 2 ppl. But I wouldn’t recommend for a family (there’s only one bedroom). The kitchen is small but usable, the host was very responsive and replied quickly to texts. For the price it’s a great stay."

"The perfect choice for accomodation in Volterra. Location couldn't be better, situated right outside the gate to the old city. Parking was great. Room was spacious, clean with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful to get you ready for a full day of exploring."

"We stayed 7 adults in the villa for a friends wedding nearby. It was perfectly situated between Volterra and the wedding venue. Exactly as advertised with no unpleasant surprises. Would highly recommend!"

"A beautiful, rustic Villa a few steps ( walk up the steps ) away from the town center. The have some excellent vegan, organic food and wine in their restaurant located at the town center. Above all, Enrique, I assume, the owner of the property, is a genuine personality with a warm smile and with lots of informed about Etruscan culture! Overall, a best stay!
