"Pros: The hotel sits on a long, wide and beautiful stretch of beach with an amazing view of the bay. Best in Play la Ropa. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and extremely well maintained. Beautiful tall palm trees throughout the property. The pools are nice and they have a separate pool for adults only. The rooms are modern and well appointed. The housekeeping staff is absolutely fantastic. They clean the room in the day and come in the evening to refresh towels and turndown. Housekeeping is best in class. The hotel has tennis courts and a gym although it is a bit small for the size of the resort. Cons: It is expensive and there are other fees. In addition to the room rate the hotel charges a "property fee". When I ordered from the room service menu the food arrived with a "delivery fee" in addition to the stated price on the menu and then they want an additional tip. The reception person at check in was not very welcoming. All she wanted was a credit card and signatures. No one walked me around to show the property. Felt more like checking into the college dorm. The property sells day passes to the public so the pools and beach may be filled with people not staying there making it crowded and less peaceful. Changes the feel of the resort. My room was a ground floor lagoon suite, not very much natural light and the patio and plunge pool sat right on the cart path so no privacy at all. Noise from above was noticeable. The food was just average."

Aunque los cuartos están limpios y bien mantenidos, no tienen pantallas que apliaciones para utilizar servicios de streaming. El personal muy amable y con buena actitud. La comida en los restaurantes de buen sabor y calidad aun que un poco caro."

"What a fantastic day the condo was completely as advertised fantastic view, comfortable beds plenty of room. We did not partake of the pool per se, but wish we had. We had hoped to use the House‘s chef but restaurants were slow and plentiful. I can’t say enough about how much the five of us enjoyed this day. Thank you, Oscar."

"The view was amazing. The penthouse was great except the kitchen tools were very worn, knives were dull. Someone was supposed to come give us a rundown of the property. There was a club but we did not have any information on how to access that area."

"I can only echo the comments of others: El Mango is an exceptional vacation rental in an exceptional, beautiful, and unique town. Claire is knowledgeable, helpful, and quick to respond to all inquiries. This rental is a joy to be in, its design perfectly attuned to its location. The beach is a swimmer's delight and the town is full of great restaurants. As others have mentioned, access to the unit does require being adept with stairs. Access to town is easy with frequent local buses and taxis. I recommend Ël Mango without reservation. "
