"The room was very comfortable and so were the beds. The Merk restaurant was so overpriced and but staff were nice. You can’t order food and sit at the bar. You have to sit at a table. I find that odd. I thought the ad said $11 each for morning buffet but bc it was Sunday, it was $24 a person. Also, self parking is $23 or valet is &29. I did not see that in the ad either."

Drury Inn & Suites Birmingham Grandview

"The staff was outstanding. The Drury Inn at Grandview is undergoing a complete renovation, so there is a lot of construction going on. It's hard to think about how they are going to make it any nicer than it already was. They are bending over backwards to accommodate their guest, but you can't control the noise and the dust! The night I wanted to get in the hot tub, the pool area was closed for maintenance. All of the negatives of this stay were temporary and I'm sure will make things much nicer next time."

"We loved the place. The view of the water and sitting area was beautiful and the pool was large and clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. You can tell that the owners take pride in the property"

"Nice hotel but a bit outdated. The staff is great and breakfast was decent. Location is quiet and was convenient for us during our visit with family."

"This hotel is currently undergoing a remodel. The lobby area is curtained off, and visible work is being done. Our room on the 4th floor had signs of remodeling, as well- tape on the wall and dust coating everything. Our room appeared clean, but after looking further, we found mismatched wallpaper and broken tiles, tiles that didn't meet the carpet, the area behind the toilet was filthy, etc. Amenities in the bathroom included face soap, lotion, shower gel, and conditioner. The third container in the shower was LOTION. No shampoo. The shower and sink hot water was abnormally hot. Sure, we need a hot shower, but not scalding. Outside our window, we could see two dumpsters overflowing with broken furniture and obvious garbage from the remodel. I could not recommend this hotel at this time."

"Overall, our stay was pleasant, and most aspects of the accommodation met our expectations. However, there were a few issues that affected our experience. Upon entering the bathroom, there was an unpleasant odor coming from the shower area. Additionally, our room was located on the second floor, and the shower did not provide any cool or cold water—only very warm to hot water was available, which made showering uncomfortable. We also noticed that there were no extra linens provided in the room, which would have been helpful during our stay. Aside from these concerns, everything else was satisfactory. The property was otherwise comfortable, and we appreciated the overall experience."
