"Very small bathroom without heating"

"Lovely place with a comfortable, pleasant, nicely decorated room and a comfortable bed. The bathroom and toilets are shared, however with only 2 other rooms. The kitchen facilities are excellent, with good quality equipment. The place is scrupulously clean. It is close to public transport. The breakfast was fantastic, even for someone who is gluten free. "The communication was difficult - the owner did phone once, but we were cut off. The property is untidy, pool is green and tennis court has had no use for years. Offered extra rooms, after the sleeping arrangements were terrible, we were then threatened to be billed extra to VRBO, somehow... The rooms had uncomfortable beds and barely a sheet on them, and towels were hard and ancient. Two cots were inadequate for adult use and the room had massive cobwebs everywhere. Breakfast was scant and...

"‘This is not a hotel’ is the first thing the hostess told us when she first called. The villa indeed is their own home and this is made very clear during our stay. The hostess treated our kids as a strict schoolteacher and to top it all off at the end of the evening also yelled upstairs that we were playing with the heating, which we were not. In the Summer this place might be nicer with the outside pool but in the winter this would not be suitable for a family vacation. Price and quality do...
