"Expedia should drop this Hampton hotel off the list of places to stay in Halifax Nova Scotia...I travel a lot & never stayed at a Hampton inn like this before. .Construction, dirt & dust everywhere. No microwave in the rooms & when we asked for one it was dirty. We had to clean it ourselves, The front staff were rude most of the time. We asked to speak to the manager multiple times & no reply, The room was not cleaned well at all so we had to buy things from Walmart to clean it up. I canceled 3 days not to come back back ever. Spoke to other people & they felt the same way. We had to pay $28,00 a night to park in a nasty garage that really needed to be tore down. Had old furniture in there & was not kept clean at all. I will contact the corporation of Hilton because we need to be reimbursed in some way We bought food to go in the fridge on our first night & the next day we had to throw everything out because the fridge was broken. No reimbursement from them at all. Then we had to spend 21/2 hours of our vacation dealing with getting a new fridge in our room. Disgusted!!!!~!!"

"Nice spot to stay, food was great, however had a bit of a challenge with the room. And calling down to the desk was impossible no one ever a stand our shower was plugged. Finally was fixed at the end of the third day. Nice hotel just felt the service didn't quite hit what I was expecting for the type and style of holtel."

"Loved the full kitchen, the beautiful patio and the communications. If you're staying downtown, and want a spot to make a coffee, hang out at the end of the day on a patio, and take downtime in a comfy spot, this a great option! Only complaint is that the windows, while beautiful!, made my sleeping area so hot in the morning. There was a larger oscillating fan in a storage nook, but I discovered that too late!"

"The property is exactly as described. It's a student residence, with all that implies (someone was preparing a meal in the kitchen opposite my room at midnight one night). The place is spotless, with lots of bathrooms available (having access to one of them was never a problem). The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was better than the average student residence but still a bit institutional. The room was warm when I was there, despite the weather being quite cool, which makes me think it might be very uncomfortable in hot weather. All in all, I was very happy with my stay, in part because I was busy and wasn't in the room an awful lot."

"The only comment I have is that the hotel bar/restaurant is very inconvenient. The multiple hallways and door to get to it is so far out of the way. Every time we went there, it was so quiet. Not easily accessible from the street either. The staff and atmosphere were SO amazing and the food was fantastic. I feel sorry for the staff because they should be making more money. I would suggest considering a relocation for the restaurant in the future. Most hotels have a lobby bar....this was the complete opposite. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We'll definitely be back!"
