Used Vicenza as our base apartment and traveled by train to Venice, Florence and Rome. This was our first ever trip to Italy. While we certainly enjoyed our trips to the tourist cities, Vicenza was our favorite location. It was the cleanest city.

Adorable town that’s worth a day trip from Venice if you had time. 24 hours is enough time to see what you want here!

Most of the places asked about were not in Vicenza, but nearby towns such as Verona and Padove.

Very nice city. Good location to use to get to Venice (by train), Asiago, Verona, Lake Garda, etc.

I highly recommend Vicenza! It’s beautiful. People are very nice. It’s affordable. Just know that there is no such thing as free water. You can ask for a short glass. Or buy bottled water and carry your own in. They get you on water in Italy.

Beautiful city pay to be in the middle of Venice and Verona mean if you don’t come for business or study art and have knowledge of A. Palladio you don’t visit this city. Another thing the city should do too many gipsies, and some area very not safe.
