"The room is superb. But have tiny issues, like the tv didn’t work well, the shower is nice but the spray shower hear that you can hold didn’t work. We didn’t use the sauna because it’s hot season."

"It is an old convent, still partially in use? Right on the water, awesome, rustic for sure. Dont expect hotel chain experience, this stay is about the awesome staff, great locationnand quiet , clean place. Very unique."

"Excellent accomodation right in the middle of it all. Nice spacious rooms and nice breakfast on roof terrace. Host was great and very welcoming. Would definitely stay again. "

"First of all, we did not expect much, because it should be a beach vacation. So we only needed this room to sleep in and shower. Our Flight left early in the morning, so we asked kindly if a sooner check in is possible. It was, so we checked in at 11:00 am. The rooms were clean the first day, later the rooms were not cleaned for 10 days. Even thou we booked the room stating: daily cleaning. The sleeping sofa was so terribly old that the fake leather chiped off and was lying in the bed every...

"My family and I (husband and teen daughter) had a fantastic stay in June. We were given such warm and welcoming hospitality. Highly recommend Villa II Barone and the beautiful town of Tropea. It was our favourite place in Italy. "
