The staff was amazing. Monica and Antonio were the best every morning. They have no problems answering questions and are very patient trying to understand other languages. The breakfast was great. The room was neat, they did room service everyday. Walking distance to local bars restaurants and most importantly the Vatican. The WiFi is great. Yes the shower is a bit small but who cares unless you’re a bit overweight. Amazing experience

Hotel Rossi was reasonably equipped for a one-night stay, and honestly, for a one-star hotel I wasn’t expecting luxury. The location, however, was fantastic. It’s only about a five-minute stroll from Venezia Santa Lucia train station and the nearby vaporetto terminals, which made arriving, dropping off my bag, and getting around Venice extremely easy. For a short stay in the city, that convenience is a huge plus. Check-in was easy, the room was reasonably clean, and the people running the hotel seemed to be doing their best with what they had. Unfortunately, if I had to describe my night’s sleep in one word, it would be: terrible. For me, the bed is the single most important thing a hotel can get right. You can forgive dated furniture, a small room, or basic amenities, but if you can’t sleep comfortably, it becomes difficult to enjoy the stay. The mattress felt as though it may have been there for 20 years. It was badly caved in through the middle, and the “double bed” was actually two beds pushed together, creating a large raised ridge down the centre. I’m a side sleeper and simply could not find a comfortable position. Sleeping on my back was really the only option. The pillow was also extremely flat, although thankfully I had brought my own. I don’t want to be overly critical because this is clearly a budget, one-star property, and the staff seemed to be trying. For a simple overnight stop, the location and basic setup were perfectly acceptable.

This hotel is located in the center of Venice, a 10 minute walk from both the airport shuttle and train station. The front desk staff were also friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place for solo travelers!

The hotel was basic but clean, shower was a little trickle so difficult to use. We had a very busy schedule so only really used the room to change and sleep. Excellent location, near to the bus terminal and train station. Even though it was located in a busy area it was set back at the end of an alleyway so very quiet.

The room was very basic but worked for us. It was a little cramped for two people; a small bathroom with only half a door (apparently normal in Europe) but made for a wet floor outside of the shower stall. AC worked very well. Staff was very helpful and lent me a hair dryer when I asked. There is no elevator but fortunately we were only 1 floor from the ground with a little view of a residential courtyard. Price was reasonable for the location (chose it for the location). The lication was perfect with lots of little cafes and icecream stores around. It was a 5 minute walk to Venice St Lucia train station (we arrived by train) and a 10 minute walk (over a high bridge with lots of stairs which were not good for a large suitcase or someone with mobility issues). It was a 25 minute walk to the Rialto bridge and another 8-10 minutes to St Mark's Square. Make sure to wear comfortable footwear.

This stay was the best part of our trip. Very good location, and the receptionist was the most nicest person. We found people very rude both in milan and venice but he helped us and it was very nice.

cozy, secluded resting place

the location was a bit off the beaten path in venice which was lovely for getting a good nights sleep in venice’s busy tourist season. moreover, its location can’t be beat for the price. while it may not have canal views not having to cart your luggage through crowds and across bridges is priceless and Hotel Rossi is only a 5 minute walk from the santa lucia train station.

Great value hotel in an excellent location - near the train station and down a quiet side road. It's a very basic hotel - no lift, two single beds pushed together, no kettle. Room did have air con. Overall very happy and staff were friendly.
