"I was hoping for a few days of quiet in nature, and that is exactly what I got. I remembered what stars look like, fell asleep to the sound of a river, and read to my heart's content, warmed by a real fire. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful and responsive. The cottage isn't too far from wine chateaux (about an hour) and a couple of ancient dolmens, not to mention the beautiful Vézelay Abbey (about 40 minutes), if you want to venture out."

Mais cette partie est indépendante et bien aménagée. La propriétaire est très attentive, discrète et nous avons pu profiter de la totalité du jardin pendant ce séjour ensoleillé"

"Warm cosy and comfortable property with 'character' and in a good location for visiting Vézelay and area. Renovated and modernised inside to a good standard, with pleasant outdoor seating areas. Bring your own teapot if you need one! A useful bread van comes 3 times a week with baguettes. Nearest village shops (in St Père) are about a 10 minute drive. Neither our 'school' French nor the owners' English was good so the booking process via the web site emails wasn't easy. The whole booking process...

"The mill is surrounded by water and trees so, despite the excessive heat during our week's visit, we stayed more comfortable than expected. The owners are both discrete and available if necessary and the location was very good to allow us to see the things we wished to see."

"This nice chalet is rather isolated. You really must love nature and forget a bit culture, although it's possible. But before reaching such places you must drive difficult small roads."

"Large property perfect for large groups. Easy to cater with plenty of equipment Large pool and wonderful gardens. Security and privacy were an issue with interior doors not closing properly and keys and locks not working. The host did send a locksmith to fix some of the problems. Beds and bedding a little tired . With some better maintenance on this property it could be perfect."

"Quirky property - well positioned for sightseeing in pretty rural location. Easy access to Avallon for shopping and the A6. Generally well equipped but no top sheets were provided to replace duvets during the heat wave we experienced. Also very surprised to find that there were no cushions for the plastic patio chairs. Unfortunately the owner was on holiday during our stay and the caretaker didn't speak English otherwise some of these problems might have been resolved. Access to the patio is...

"The house is located rural, next to a unpaved road en a small stream. It is not luxury but wel equipped and comfortable. It offer a lot value for money. Due to the trees it is relatively cool on hot summer days. In Lormes , which has a nice atmosphere, there are supermarket, several good shops for food and some cafe’s. The surrounding is suited for some shorter day trips and for walking. For cooling down on hot days there is a small lake at a 15 minutes walk from the house"

Sur place maison de village bien équipée avec un gros plus pour le jardin barbecue ... dans le village jolie petit marché le vendredi , bon boucher en label et aux alentoues pleins de possibilités, montgolfière, balade au fil de l'eau, ballade en foret ou bisite des grottes d'arcy , visite du morvan ou villes d'histoires avallon auxerre tonnerre vezlay pour sa Basilique ......."
