"We stayed at the villa for 2 weeks, and loved every minute of it, the villa is in a peaceful spot with stunning views but only a short drive to all amenities, and lixouri. Frances was a great host, we arrived early hours of the morning to find the fridge full with all we would need until we could get to a shop. The villa itself is perfect for a family holiday, I particularly liked that it was designed for guests and we didn’t feel like we were in someone else’s home. We would definitely go back - thanks for a great stay :) "

"This was our 2nd stay in Villa Varkoula. It’s a simple but lovely villa, with pool and great views of hills. Very peaceful. A joy to watch the swallows/swifts dipping down to sip from the swimming pool, a few sightings of an eagle and cute bats in the evening. A car is essential, but the town of Lixouri and several lovely and not too busy beaches are all within a short drive. Perfect for a quiet getaway or as a base to explore the wonderful island of the Kephalonia."

"This villa had so much more than was advertised. It’s within a small family run complex who are just the loveliest people. The cleaner came every day, she was so gorgeous and the Villa and it’s complex were the cleanest I’ve ever seen. The beds were so comfortable and the food was divine- fresh sea bass every day. It was so relaxing in a very peaceful environment. I’d return in a heartbeat. day."

"Petros and family made us incredibly welcome, going out of their way to make my birthday special. We had a large apartment with lounge and balcony. This was well equipped and very clean, with regular visits from the cleaner. The breakfasts we really good value with continental, hot options as well as sweat treats and drinks. "

"Almost everything about this resort is excellent. Spotlessly clean, attentive and friendly staff, great accommodation and pools, little outdoor cinema showing English films each evening and then there is the food. I have never been much of a fan of buffet style meals, but the food and service provided here surpassed all expectations in both the quality and quantity. Truly amazing. Vast choice of fruit and salads, local dishes, oven baked pizza, pasta and roast meats and desserts to die for. You will be going back for more ! Drinks are a very reasonable price. Half price alcohol at happy hour between 4pm and 6pm. Mine’s a mojito 👍. The only negative is that it is situated such that you either need a car to travel anywhere, or avail yourself of organised trips. We did both to see the highlights of the island and delightful neighbouring Ithaka. But I missed the typical evening stroll and window shopping. It lacks a comfortable lounge although there is a music bar. There are sofas in reception but it’s a bit clinical and the air con is a bit too chilly there. Xi beach is a short stroll away. The weather was so hot during our stay that we didn’t go there as I believe there is little shade and that was a shame, but the pool made up for it. Umbrellas are fixed so no one can take more than one per two sun beds and reserving these with towels is technically not allowed. There is also an outdoor sofa area with shade. In all a great place and highly recommended. "

"Villa nice although little bit of maintenance needed in places but local manager Spyros was brilliant and sorted out issues we had with tv and sunbeds. The villa is ideally located for the beautiful beach and a couple of good tavernas but car essential as no shops for suppliers within walking distance."
