"My partner and I were pleasantly surprised by how incredible the Essence Suites were. The staff were there to greet us upon arrival and we were treated to a fresh lemonade and chocolate covered raspberries. We were giving your advice and maps for Kefalonia before being shown to our immaculate room. Our breakfast out by the pool each morning was fresh and delicious. "The hotel is located in Lassi, and is just a short journey from the airport (approx 10 mins). The taxi journey was $20 from airport to hotel, and $25 from hotel back to airport, although a bus is available. The location is absolutely perfect for the amazing Makris Gialos beach, and a 5 minute walk to a supermarket and the beginning of a road full of restaurants and shops. There is a bus stop is directly outside the hotel. It looked as though the hotel and pool area had been completed...

"The beach house is overall nice, as described in the listing, I believe that it was not mentioned that the upper bedroom is not separated but rather a loft, that could make a difference for a larger group. Location indeed very close to the see, hotel pool and restaurant which was great (restaurant surprisingly good!). hotel staff very friendly and helpfull at all times. A big disappointment was the quality of wifi - this property should not be advertised as having one - there is none in the house and limited on the terrace, this has impacted our stay negatively- the baby camera did not work and I could not work properly. I would have expected better at a property in this price range."
