Pine Lodge - luxurious bungalow in nature

Pine Lodge is a luxurious bungalow nestled in nature, designed by experienced hosts and based on a concept of sustainability, inspired by our local experiences of passionate trips to Africa.
Located on an urban farm just outside Porto, it’s just a stone’s throw from the mountains and the Suzão train station.
Its tree deck, amazing views, and facilities make this place look like a scene from a movie. Perfect for two people looking to enjoy quality time connected with nature, yet with all the comforts! Breakfast is available but not included.

Pine Lodge is full of great amenities to help you make the most of your stay in nature. Dozens of idyllic scenarios are possible here. Imagine yourself relaxing at the top of a century-old pine tree, under a starry sky, or watching the sun set at the end of the day. Or snuggled by the fireplace while watching Netflix and enjoying a changing—and always beautiful—landscape. You’ll be able to sleep comfortably indoors while still waking up surrounded by nature. And wherever you are, nature will always serve as your backdrop—inspiring your writing, reading, and creative projects, or even enhancing your remote work experience.
The private bungalow features an open-concept layout with high ceilings, constructed of wood and large windows. It features a bedroom and living area with a double bed, a sofa, an electric fireplace (visual effect), and a smart TV; a private bathroom with a shower column and a hair dryer; and a kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker, stove (located outside on the covered terrace), and basic kitchen utensils.
The bungalow has a terrace with deck chairs, surrounded by a green area and pine trees, featuring a deck and two poufs to make the most of it (access closed in winter).

You are welcome to park your vehicle on the property. Access to the accommodations are on foot, via a nature trail.
Guests have access to the entire accommodation as well as the outdoor area in front of the Lodge, including the tree platform. We kindly ask our guests not to go beyond the fences, as this would encroach on other guests’ private areas.
Ideal for those who would like to visit, in addition to Porto, the cities of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Coimbra, and Aveiro. We’re situated within a triangle formed by three remarkable destinations—the Douro, Porto, and Guimarães—all designated as World Heritage sites.

There is a train and bus station a 5-minute walk away, with direct trains to Porto’s historic center (20 min.) and to the major cities in northern Portugal (Braga, Guimarães, Viana do Castelo, and Aveiro).

Valongo is a valley nestled between mountains, historically linked to gold mining in Roman times and, in modern times, to slate mining and the production of artisanal bread and cookies.
Pine Lodge is situated in a quiet and safe residential area with a supermarket, restaurants, a shopping center, a pharmacy, and a train station all within walking distance.
You can enjoy the fresh country air on a relaxing nature walk along the "Paleozoic Route" (a Natura 2000 site), which will take you to an "Aldeia de Portugal" (traditional Portuguese village) by the river, nestled between the mountains. For the more adventurous, it’s also possible to visit the Roman gold mines!!
You can take a stroll along the historic city center, where you’ll find the famous Fábrica Paupério—with a shop open for you to buy their delicious cookies—as well as museums, parks, and several restaurants and bars.
