"Room, bathroom and linens were all very good. Had bathrobes, coffee maker, and good Wifi. Location across from Fortelesa, old walled in city, was convenient. Breakfast was good"

"This was a quick stop on way to the airport for us. Everything looked great. Our room was perfect for what we needed. I was worried about check-in but I called and had a quick response. Thank you!"

"Would definitely recommend as a true gem. Very kind host."

"Habitación limpia pero antigua. Personal amable y recepcionista curioso. Desayuno correcto. Buena situación. Piscina pequeña."

"Un buen hotel. Lugar tranquilo para relajarse"

"Beautiful place!"

"So many things to love! I arrived early, for I’d finished my Camino walk for the day. My room was ready, and they checked me in. (Not required, but delightful!). I needed to print new transport tags for my bags. (I’d tried early in the morning, at my previous hotel, to no avail.) They gladly printed them for me at no charge. "We so enjoyed our stay here. From the expansive views over the Minho river, our guest room, breakfast, to learning about the history of the convent and its renovation by artist Jose Rodrigues. Joao was the most gracious host and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. We are very grateful to him for everything! A special place indeed."

"The picture on the ad suggested that there was a pool on the property which wasn't true. Also the rooms were hot, very small, and generally quite over priced compared to other locations I have traveled in this area. Staff were very nice and polite."

"Has an owner who really cares about his guests, extremely helpful."
