"The hotel was decent but the reception wasn’t open 24 hours so if you’re arriving late (around 11pm or so), you’ll always have to knock and wake up whoever is in there. There was one night that I almost didn’t get into the hotel because no one was at the reception and the main door was locked. Luckily, a woman who was also staying there arrived and called his boyfriend and unlocked the door for us from the inside. There was also a small spark or kind of a little explosion in one of the sockets...

"Just across the beautiful beach, plenty of options to spend the day. Brand new hotel with great swimming pool. Breakfast includes everything you may think about. Dining options great, including rooftop restaurant overlooking the beech. Underground parking, or free parking on the street. Great find."
"The hotel is bread and butter. What you see is what you get… and I love it! We arrived early and the receptionist let us go to the room as it was ready, which is always a great touch. The room was the right size — no frills, just what we needed. The location was perfect: a mere 10-minute walk to the port/sea. "Very pleasant, clean and low stress place to stay while hiking the caminho. A little off the caminho trail but there is a well maintained hike and bike path from the center of Valença that will take you right to Alma Candida. Breakfast is very good too. "
