"I checked this morning, and the property is still shown as being in Vaison La Romaine, still claims to be a short walk from the sights of Vaison, and the map show this to be the case. However, this is a total LIE. The house is in Saint Maurice sur Eygues, which is more than 15mins from Vaision by Car. The owner was quick to offer us 100 euros (so he obviously knew) but this didn't cover the cost of us staying in Vaison for two nights to spend time with the friends we were supposed to meet there....

"This was a perfect stay for us. The villa is just outside the main town (which was much larger and livelier than we had anticipated, a good choice of supermarkets and an excellent bakery.) Th villa is very private. The pool is great, and having it heated makes a big difference, even though the weather was warm it meant there was never a shock getting in. "The property was clean and tidy, with a lovely outdoor terrace. The pool was a welcome relief from the scorching temperatures, and after a hot day sightseeing it was lovely to take a refreshing dip. The gite is located an easy 10 minute amble into Vaison - a bustling market town with all the facilities one could need.
