"Accueil par Julie la propriétaire parfait. Le domaine a été très récemment rénové. Notre chambre était rénovée avec beaucoup de goût. La salle de bain neuve avec une baignoire à remous dans la chambre très agréable. Le lit est ferme et confortable. La piscine est très belle et très agréable. Le petit déjeuner est très bon. L’endroit est très calme et très apaisant. Nous y retournerons si nous revenons vers Orange. "

"Es ist ein wunderschönes Haus mit sehr freundlichem und zuvorkommendem Gastgebern. Ein frühes Check In war kein Problem und wir haben als Familie ein wirklich tolles Zimmer mit zwei separaten Schlafräumen bekommen. Der Pool ist und die Liegen sind perfekt für die warmen Sonnentag. Und dank dem süssen Hund Mao ist man nie alleine. :-) Das Frühstück im schönen Garten war sehr lecker! Wir waren nur für 1 Tag dort auf der Durchreise, würden aber jederzeit wieder kommen und auch länger bleiben!"

The makeover and additions to a centuries old stone country farm house are magnificent but not pretentious (describes the ambiance of our stay). If by train taxies a more miss than hit...the proprietors generously pick us up and returned us to the Gare' 25 minutes away (and should charge at least 30 euros for the round trip). "An absolutely perfect stay, Chateau du Martinet is exactly the place for which we had hoped: a gorgeous rustic building, charming grounds, and a friendly team of people that went out of their way to ensure all of our needs were met. The hotel is pet friendly, and two very friendly little dogs greeted us upon our arrival. The driveway is a bit oblique to the main road and we missed it the first time by. "I checked this morning, and the property is still shown as being in Vaison La Romaine, still claims to be a short walk from the sights of Vaison, and the map show this to be the case. However, this is a total LIE. The house is in Saint Maurice sur Eygues, which is more than 15mins from Vaision by Car. The owner was quick to offer us 100 euros (so he obviously knew) but this didn't cover the cost of us staying in Vaison for two nights to spend time with the friends we were supposed to meet there....

"The property was clean and tidy, with a lovely outdoor terrace. The pool was a welcome relief from the scorching temperatures, and after a hot day sightseeing it was lovely to take a refreshing dip. The gite is located an easy 10 minute amble into Vaison - a bustling market town with all the facilities one could need. There are some quirks - there is only one loo, which is downstairs whilst the shower room is upstairs. There is also no wash hand basin in the loo. Also, the VRBO listing states...
