Beach front Cottage, close to downtown - Private Beach and Great Water views

"My family has stayed at several cottages along Mayo beach over the last 40 years, and this one is by far the best. I just returned from a 3-night stay with my adult daughters, and our experience was superb. The cottage is immaculate, well-furnished, modern, and well equipped with everything you can think of. Best of all was the view of the bay from the three sliding glass doors and the convenience of the beach right outside the door down a set of stairs. Since it was October, the beach, the town and the Outer Cape were quiet and peaceful, and we had perfect fall weather. The sunsets and sunrises from the cottage were amazing, and we enjoyed beach walks, nature trails, Mac’s Shack, and P-Town without the summer crowds. Our host Kathleen was a pleasure to work with, answered all my questions and was accommodating with our dates. I look forward to returning again in the future!"

"Great place. Living room and master bedroom have views of Wellfleet Harbor to die for. Our middle-aged corgi spent happy hours watching the boats. Spotless clean. Not huge-huge but wicked comfy. Good kitchen. The two younger kids arm wrestled for who took the top bunk. Too cold in October for the outdoor shower but an enjoyable 30 min. waterside walk around and over Uncle Tim's Bridge into town for Oysterfest. Lazy people took an easy 10 min drive. Totally recommend. We'll gladly be back!"

"This is a property that was an old Motel and they did some updating in the rooms, the only thing I would say is get a room on the second floor because you can hear EVERYTHING from the first floor :( The shower didn't have good pressure and was very small ( you need to close the door to sit on the toilet ) the back area where the fire pit is, is just a make shift of a lot of sand and lounge chairs. Over all I wouldn't stay again for the money they are asking."

"Location was excellent. Steps from Mayo Beach. Easy walk to restaurants and town. Very nice property. Only suggestions I would have would be to have beach towels available. Also since the kitchen is so small there’s no room for non perishable groceries. But I will say the kitchen was well equipped with many tools. We didn’t mind having to go outside to get to the main house. But had we had a lot of rain it would have been rather inconvenient . Del Mar was very attentive and helpful. They responded promptly to any issues. Very good experience and I would highly recommend them for vacation renting. Deborah"
