"We never got to meet Monia, as she was away, but her brother, Mauro, took excellent care of us. He met us at the bottom of the hill and escorted us to the house and showed us around. He responded immediately to texts and questions, and gave us wonderful recommendations (we loved touring the olive oil mill that he takes his family's olives to). The house is a family home, a simple farmhouse but clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The uncle lives next door but we rarely saw or heard...

"This was a beautiful piece of property to stay at in the city of Assisi. It was in a location that was very easy to access all the major Catholic holy sites. We took the city bus line up from the train station and were within a manageable walking distance from the bus stop. There are plenty of nice restaurants and cafes near by. A major plus was having the police station just down the block, so we felt extremely safe walking around at night."

The two floor accommodation has all the amenities for a great stay, including a balcony with table and chairs overlooking the main street through central Orvieto (quiet street, no traffic allowed). Location is fabulous with easy access to all of Orvieto’s famous attractions. Would definitely stay there again!"

"We spent a very good three nights here. We drove, so Simone’s recommendation of the Saba Matteotti parking was helpful. It’s a 5 min walk downhill (uphill on the way back) to the apartment. He provides an Assisi local tourist card that gives you a couple of euros off the daily rate, so €12 a day. We parked in the open air because we missed the ramp down to the covered areas. There are lifts from those to the centre. (We also turned 50m too early into the bus station and incurred the wrath of...

Instructions for use of appliances and heating system not satisfactory. yes there’s a hairdryer, but it can’t be used in the bathroom because it doesn’t fit the outlet. washing machine tries to take flight as you use it. difficult to open and close the washer door. Internet is only a little more than a suggestion."

"Cosy and superbly situated and quiet. Plenty of space for two ablebodied persons. Kitchen a little under-equipped for our purposes (eat at home). All clean, neat and hostess most kind and trusting despite the fun of communicating in Italian since no English spoken. Only drawback was the attick ceiling with its obvious lack of windows other than in roof"

"Our stay at Casamaggiore was perfect. The property was traditionally and simply styled, well supplied and met all our needs. The facilities were as advertised and we delighted in using the pool and tennis courts. The property is perfectly situated for day trips to explore the region. The balcony was our favourite spot for a glass of wine at the end of a busy day. Our stay was an absolute highlight in our exploration of Italy. Thankyou Gisella for your kind hosting."
