"We stayed in a four poster bedroom in late October 26. The hotel is a fascinating place (in a good way). Steeped in history but extremely well maintained. The bedroom was superb, luxurious and super clean with a very comfortable bed. We had both evening meal and breakfast at the hotel. Both were exceptional and decent value too. The staff were all professional, polite and friendly. Only minor gripe is the parking. The hotel parking itself is small and tight. Plus you will need to be there...

"The staff at this hotel are charmingly Yorkshire and welcoming. A refreshing change from more 'corporate' but less personal treatment of guests. Born in West Yorkshire myself, I loved the chatty friendliness of the staff with their typically Yorkshire sense of humour that made my visit such a pleasure. I'll definitely return.
