COPPER CABIN at Florencia Bay Retreat offers a self-catering luxury cabin, privately located on a 2.4 acre old growth forested property bordering Pacific Rim National Park, within walking distance of Florencia Bay and Halfmoon Bay via the Willowbrae Trail. This is a place to unplug from the busyness of daily life and reconnect with nature and decompress.

This work-of-art cabin built on Vancouver Island features traditional old growth logs and beautifully handcrafted custom creations by local artisans and craftsmen. With subtle details such as a river rock fireplace, a grand copper tub to the beautifully handcrafted antique-style kitchen, king poster bed, luxurious granite shower, and a stargazing private hot tub set in the forest.

You will be taken back by the elegant details and craftsmanship that has been placed into creating Copper Cabin. Upon entering, you will be guided into a handcrafted antique-style kitchen with black and gold details throughout. The kitchen comes fully stocked with beautiful dishware, a large brass farmhouse style sink, and a black antique style kitchen oven. The space also has a large island that is perfect for your morning breakfast or your evening glass of red wine while indulging in great conversations with your loved ones. Appreciate sleeping in a king size bed and located just beneath the bed is a fireplace that creates a cozy calming atmosphere. Tucked away in the corner is a beautiful copper freestanding bathtub perfect for capping off your romantic evening! Just off the living/sleeping area is a large bathroom with a stand up shower, complete with granite finishes. Just out the front door there is a seating area on the front porch and a hot tub nestled amongst the trees to heighten this romantic getaway experience!

Just a heads-up: this unit does not have a washer or dryer. However, there is a local laundromat in town that you’re welcome to use.

Please note: the cabin has large stone tile flooring that can be a bit uneven in some spots. It could be challenging for those with mobility issues.
During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), 3 night minimum and all bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps.

2 Dogs max allowed after owner approval. Sorry no cats!

The cabin does not have a washer and dryer. There is a local laundry mat near by.

Cancellation Policy: We offer a 30 day cancellation policy. If you provide us with the 30 days required notice you will receive a full refund (minus any pesky booking platform fees). If you cancel without the required days notice you will not receive a refund for your reservation.

Amazing Cabin

We stayed for 3 nights in the copper cabin and enjoyed every minute. The Cabin and hot tub were super private and had everything we needed. Danielle was very responsive to our needs and was a great host. Would definitely recommend to anyone, especially those who have a dog and looking for a nice weekend get away!

We booked the Copper Cabin for an anniversary trip and it was just what we needed. A relaxing 4 days. It had everything we needed and we loved the hot tub amongst the trees Hope to return again!

Peaceful romantic cabin

My wife and I stayed a week in the copper cabin for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was very romantic and relaxing. The little cabin has everything you need, the hot tub and large copper tub were icing on the cake. We really enjoyed our stay!!

Honeymoon stay

My husband and I stayed at the copper cabin for our honeymoon and it was lovely! It is super private and we didn’t see anyone else the entire time we were there, though it may be due it being the off season. The cabin was super cozy and the bed was very comfortable

Perfect Getaway

Lovely getaway for our elopement

The cabin was perfect for our getaway. It's on a beautiful, quiet property close to Ucluelet. The path down to Florencia Bay was quite a bit further than we expected and wasn't directly off the property as we expected but still a lovely hike. Be prepared for lots of stairs if you go there.

Private and Quiet Cabin in the Woods

This is our second stay at Florencia Bay, our first in Copper Cabin. We loved the hot tub at the edge of the forest and sitting on the front deck looking into the woods. It was very private and quiet. The inside of the cabin is beautiful, we really enjoyed the copper theme. We were able to bring our dog with us which is also nice, he really liked the fireplace. We would stay again and definitely recommend it to friends.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The cabin is so romantic and beautiful. The bedding is so soft and waking up looking out on a forest is so peaceful. We enjoyed the attention to detail from TVR and how fast they responded with a very minor repair issue. It was so cozy with the fire on and nice to slip out to the private hot tub too. We will be back!!!

Pictures capture it well. Worthy of Architectural Digest. Very private. A Short hike from the house to Florencia Beach Only 3 miles to Ucluelet, a cool and less crowded/hectic version of Tofino. Well stocked and immaculate, management company doing a great job.

Honeymoon

Great cozy cabin to relax, recharge and enjoy nature. Bed was very comfortable and was a peaceful setting. Great place to either sit on the porch and read, or hike hike hike! Sleepy little town of Ucluelet was charming. Tofino offers a bit more shopping/restaurants and is about 35 minutes by car to get there. Although we did not utilize the past, there’s a lovely wide, and Macy paved trail that runs from you collect to Tofino. It will be a great bike ride for those interested in a modest challenge. You don’t need to bike on the roads, which is a huge benefit.

An amazing get away! The cabin was adorable full of rustic charm. The privacy factor was amazing as well. Everything from the rainfall shower, copper tub and secluded hot tub was perfect. Definitely recommend slippers for the slate floor! (Not complaining but a couple are toe-stubbers if your not paying attention). The check in was so easy and even got a check in call the next day to see if everything was ok. We will be back for sure!

lovely little hideaway

This was a lovely cabin, everything as advertised. Beautiful architecture and design both within and without the cabin. A couple of things to note: the hot tub is located a ways away from the door of the cabin. However there was no place to put anything (clothes, towels etc) at the hot tub, so everything needed to be placed on the ground. Not very good in the middle of a wet November. The Hot Tub Rules said a whole lot about keeping debris out of the hot tub, and only using designated hot tub towels outside. This is totally fair, however if you do not want people using the regular bathroom towels in the hot tub, perhaps you could provide some outside towels larger than the ones left for this purpose (they were tiny). Or better yet, provide robes for your guests! Currently, choices are to get undressed inside and walk out to the tub with a tiny towel covering you up, or get undressed beside the hot tub and leave clothes/towels on wet ground. At least provide some hooks or something to hang clothes/towels on! Some of the covers for the hot tub jets were also broken, not attached, so would come off every time the jets came on. This seems like a pretty big oversight when everything else about the cabin was high end and luxurious. Also, the Wifi seems pretty unreliable - it cut out half way through our stay and all the usual reboot solutions did not work. Management did try their best to resolve the situation, but was still out when we left. I understood that this was not the first time this has happened. Landline also seems tied to the Wifi and there was a very weak cell signal at the property - so no ability to call out either. Other than those two things, I can recommend this cabin - it was a wonderful little getaway :)
