"I was in Vicksburg for a week, on business. The year before, I stayed in a hotel on the other side of town. This time, I wanted to be downtown, making the flavor of the town more accessible. I was not disappointed. This place is utterly charming, a well-preserved taste of the 1800s, in which the house was built. "Our room was so dirty. Baseboards were gross. Black mold in the bathroom. Floor turned out feet black. Couch had rips in the fabric. Cowling was crumbling around air vents. Super close to a busy road. Had to climb 3 flights of steep stairs to get to our room. The whole place is a safety violation. And so dirty!!! We were catfished for sure. Also, in a shady part of town. This place has fencing but not a locked gate system."

"The place was very clean but it is very old and no updates have been done in many, many years. WiFi did not work and there was no one for help after 10:30 pm. The bed was comfortable and the room was adequate for our short night stay."
