On our way to Ft. Benning

Bed was a little stiff for my wife but I slept well. Pillows were great and the shower was nice. Ate on the back porch. Breakfast was nice and full of butter. Bacon was yummy. For an old house the doors were a bit hard to lock. Hated to have to slam the door to get it to lock. Stayed in the Grant room where General Grant slept.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is well kept and the staff is really friendly. We met Bendita when we went to the bar on the property and we really enjoyed her company! The literal only complaint i have is the coffee at breakfeast was terrible. But other than that 5 stars!!!

This is an historic, very old mansion. I loved the period pieces and the decor. The owners were very welcoming and the included breakfast was delicious. After the breakfast, one owner gave us a wonderful detailed, informative tour of the house. Again, this is an old mansion undergoing renovation, but if that interests you as it did my husband and me, it’s a great place to stay.
