"Sorry Red Lion It’s not as clean as you’d like to think - see pics , chair leg is broken so could only sit on bed But Bed linen fresh, towels pure white, room smells fresh (apart from people smoking in pub garden, but that’s not your fault) Slept ok but room could do with makeover, update and consider how to use the space more efficiently "

"The welcome was shocking, the arrival time was wrong. Did not receive the entry code by email the day before. The stairs very steep. Very dusty in bathroom. The shower only had very hot water. The window sill had traffic grit in the corners, window were streaked. Uneven floor, luckily we did not fall, but nearly did. If I had known I would not have booked. "Excellent room & facilities. We stayed in the Cotton Mill room, with an amazing copper bath & walk in shower. NYE Dinner was fantastic, and a great breakfast the next morning topped off our stay. A truly lovely, relaxed atmosphere "

"What a joke! The hotel cancelled on me right before we were due to stay because of an apparent leak. I think managed to book a different hotel at twice the price as it was so last minute. Hucknall house has now blocked my phone number and I still am waiting for a refund. "

"The pictures looked good but the place was terrible, its taking along time for a refund even though its been accepted. The toilet would flush and leak out at the back, 1 small room with lots of cramped beds, glue on the floor was everywhere, the shower was blocked and leaked underneath. The list goes on"

"This is a lovely hotel in an amazing cbtesk location in the city. We were going to an event at the City Hall which is just 5 min walk away. It’s got plenty of restaurant choices in easy walking distance and is situated in a lovely part of the city on the edge of the lovely Peace Garden. The staff were friendly and the hotel lobby and bar are really nice as was our bedroom. The hotel doesn’t have its own parking but has a deal with a large car park 5min walk away at a discounted rate. "
