"We had booked this property as a stayover for my mum who was needing to be at the hospital nearby early the next morning. The day of booking the property the owner called after 9pm to enquire where the payment was to which we explained it was purchased on hotels.com AND that the trip was for my SICK mother. After struggling to find someone to assist us on arrival we we where taken to our cottage. The cottage had an overpowering smell of room spray that burnt your eyes. it was very clear that...

"I stayed in the Honeymoon suite...very comfortable bed!! everything was in good condition, apart from the lavatory, which made an horrendous noise when flushed, and there was no water pressure in the bath so it took over half an hour to fill the bath 50%. On the plus side, the staff were lovely, very helpful indeed and very kind. Breakfast very good too. I would stay again, and in the same room, provided they do something about the bathroom, which for a honeymoon suite leaves much to wish...

"This place was beautiful. The staff are wonderful. But this was not ideal with our baby. However the no aircon and 37 degrees does not go well together along with 5000 mozzies and no sort of repellent in room. The mozzie net also broke and fell onto me and my baby, the other one also didn't cover my husband ankles and well, he looks like he has chicken pox on his ankles. Also when we booked, it said TWO double beds and TWO rooms, and it was not. One single bed right next to the double bed....

"No swimming towels made available, told to make use of our bath towels. Swimming pool was dirty with crickets and dead frogs in it. The bath towels are old and hard. The bedding is stained with old marks. Paint is peeling off walls in unit. No-one emptied dustbins over a 2 days stay even though we placed this outside. Wine glasses on the shelf cracked. Iron was rusted and marked out clothing. Remote control for gate not working. Did not need or want to hear Receptionist’s work history....

"This guest house is fabulous and much more interesting than chain hotels. It maybe old but it is full of character and decorated with interesting art, everything works and all mod cons are available. The people were so friendly and helpful too, we had a great holiday."
