The bathroom is next to the bed in a small closet. The lock for the door is a small padlock. There was a fecal smell that kept us up at night. The bed was a soft mat type bed not a mattress. The gates were what I can only describe as something you would see at a 'haunted' house in really poor condition. Our first impressions were not great as the accommodation appeared very old and run down. "The communication was difficult - the owner did phone once, but we were cut off. The property is untidy, pool is green and tennis court has had no use for years. Offered extra rooms, after the sleeping arrangements were terrible, we were then threatened to be billed extra to VRBO, somehow... We could not find the address there behind the Mārie and in desperation rang Madame Boisel for directions from the centre of Savigny. "Gave us the top floor, climbing that spiral stairs was a work out! Besides that location was good, close to port, transportation and restaurant. Public parking expensive if you have car. I would stay here again, but only if I get a first floor room."
