"Room was clean, lots of parking. There are signs of aging carpets and door locks,"

"My recent stay at the hotel was very good for the price. Food great and staff very helpful"

"A lovely characterful hotel in fantastic grounds. Good sized rooms and friendly staff. Nice to be welcomed by a roaring fireplace too"

"Fabulous new B & B recently opened. Olivia & Matt are lovely hosts and very welcoming. Breakfast is delicious and top quality fruit juices served in individual bottles unlike cheap juices served in many places. Our room was large and comfortable with a generous hospitality tray and large kettle. Soft fluffy towels. Ideal location for touring. Well definitely return."

"This hotel is in a great location for exploring the area. Canal walk, aqueduct and tunnel all within walking distance. Enough choice for places to eat right on the doorstep. Hotel was clean, and our room had everything we needed (apart from a hairdryer!). Good value for money too. Would recommend."

"Perfect location (two minute walk to daughter's house); excellent breakfasts, particularly the porridge; fun pub downstairs, loved a cappella rehearsal."

Windows paint peeling black mould and lots of holes where the window catch has been moved numerous times times !! Bathroom very small Very disappointed in our stay"

Two were very apologetic and moved but the 3rd I got abuse from and it was not nice😞."

"The host was really nice Place was old could do with abit of work very tired in places But good for a overnight stay for work"

"Slightly disappointed that when I got there at 1500, I was told my room wasn’t ready, despite 1500 being the time that checking in starts. Sat around for 30 minutes while I waited for it to be confirmed as ready, but the man on the desk was so kind and polite and apologised profusely, and had exceptional customer service. Came down a while later to ask for a pen, and ended up speaking to another member of staff on the desk fro about 5 minutes and he also had exceptional customer service. The...

"Very clean, newly refurbished pub in a good location with interesting artistic decorations by local artist who owns the property. Good base to explore this part of the Wales/England border. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. We ate at the pub both nights and evening meal was also very good. Lovely staff. Parking seemed to be no problem, either in pub's very small car park or on roads in village."
