"A clean, efficient unit, much like a small apartment. Has a stove top, microwave and small kitchen to prepare simple meals or heat up things. About a 10min walk to the train station and a short wall to a bus stop and family mart. It is a walk up so you will need to climb stairs to your unit. The bathroom is like new and the bed is comfortable. "

"We were within about 10 blocks of Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen Garden - this meant the only time we actually needed to ride the bus was to and from Kanazawa Station, only 3 stops away. The rest was completely walkable with kids. The apartment was located in Kinboro- well known for the several hundred year old Samurai residences. We were within a few hundred meters of excellent dining options. One of those was Izumino, whose amazing owners stuffed us with sashimi and crab cakes and spoiled...

"Hotel was nice. My family enjoyed the private baths. Location wasn’t good in regards to getting to the ski slopes and restaurants. If you get breakfast included, you cook it yourself- it’s just the raw ingredients. The room was huge and lovely for our family of 5. We were comfortable in the winter. We travelled with another family (of 4) who booked the same room type but theirs was much smaller and they froze because their heating was different.
