Stepping into Ardo feels like entering a new world out of Townsville. The modern Japanese-inspired architecture really brings a cool cozy and chill vibes. We stayed at The Ville the previous night and moved to Ardo for our last night in Townsville. I mentioned our booking arrangement to the lovely lady at The Ville reception, and she kindly arranged for me to transfer to Ardo straight away in the morning. It was so wonderful because I didn’t have to wait until the official check-in time and could start enjoying our stay right away!

Fantastic hotel. Great location next to the Casino. Good dining options, rooms are extremely well appointed for business and pleasure. As someone who travels frequently for work, this is the best Property option in Townsville - only one of its calibre.

The hotel was clean and well-designed and stylish. Staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in & out process was quick and easy. The room was spacious and well-maintained. The bed & pillow was very comfortable. The swimming pool was really good especially the parasols and the swimming bed colour were super nice (instagrammable colours around the hotel).

I took my mother out for a night at Ardo and dinner at Terasu restaurant as a treat for her 84th Birthday. We booked a room with two separate beds. It even said on the confirmation email two beds. When we booked in at reception the room only had one bed and they said they had no record of the request for 2. Even though it stated 2 on the confirmation. They sent someone up to rectify this. While at reception we booked into Terasu Japanese restaurant. When we tuned up for dinner they had no sign of our reservation. After standing around for a while they managed to find us a table. Food and staff at Terasu were excellent. I loved the Japanese donuts for dessert. I would say the rooms at the casino are much better. I don't know how Ardo is rated 5 star. Maybe 3 at best! The only thing 5 stars is the price!

The staff are excellent, very helpful. The location is beautiful. Terasu restaurant was my favourite place to eat, exceptional food. The rooms are clean and spacious. Overall a wonderful hotel.
