"Friendly helpful staff, excellent room with plenty of space and storage, comfy bed"

"Having booked a four person room, I was very surprised on arrival to find that out accommodation was actually a two floor cottage with a kitchen. Very comfortable and spacious. Two televisions. One separate double bedroom on first floor. All lovely. Breakfast was excellent and not a buffet but plentiful. Overall highly recommended. Staff were all very pleasant also. If you are lucky you can park right outside your cottage otherwise there is a carpark very near."

"Great place to stay for Forest Live. Hotel is lovely, warm and welcoming. It was a warm day so quite hot inside but we spent time outside in the huge gardens, the bar was open and we sat next to the river. Breakfast was superb, fresh fruit and proper butchers sausages! Would definitely stay again."

"Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is cooked to order and of an excellent quality. The staff are all helpful and efficient. The hotel is ideally situated for access to the town centre, Dad's Army Museum, bus station and is about 15 minutes' walk from the train station. The bar is welcoming and serves a good selection of drinks. There is a small outdoor courtyard area in which to sit if the weather permits. On the negative side, the hotel is definitely in need of some...
