"What an awesome place to stay!! We'd stay there again in a heartbeat. Really nice location, not far out of Fairbanks. We stayed here on our way back from Chena Hot Springs. Loved the detail of the bus, super clean. Really appreciated having some basic food available for the stay, that was super helpful. With all the windows and the out of town location it made for a perfect night sky viewpoint. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Visiting Chena Hot Springs Resort is a truly unique Alaskan experience, located about a 1.5-hour drive from Fairbanks. While it offers memorable family-friendly activities, careful planning is required—especially regarding transportation and supplies. Highlights & Family Activities Aurora Ice Museum: A fantastic, one-of-a-kind family activity. Exploring the stunning ice sculptures is a must-do while you are here. Natural Hot Springs: A wonderfully relaxing experience for adults (note that the natural rock lake is restricted to ages 18 and older, while families with children can enjoy the indoor heated pool). Aurora & Sunset Tours: Excellent opportunities for viewing the Northern Lights, weather permitting. Crucial Practical Tips for Travelers Bring Your Own Water: Stock up on bottled water before driving out to Chena. Water on the property frequently sells out, and purchasing a small bottle at the resort can cost around $3. Transportation & Car Rentals: Renting a car in Fairbanks is by far the most recommended option. While you might get lucky and find an Uber or Lyft driver willing to drop you off for around $90, do not rely on rideshare services or their "Reserve in Advance" feature for the return trip to Fairbanks. You likely will not secure a vehicle. Return Shuttle & Cab Costs: The resort offers return shuttles to Fairbanks for $90 per person, which can add up quickly for a family. "This cabin was an absolutely perfect get away. Just far enough outside of Fairbanks to feel the peaceful solitude. We had unseasonable clouds and rain (September) that to El Niño, but still caught a night of aurora. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"What a wonderful place! It’s clean, has all the amenities you could want, and is the perfect location for peace & quiet yet close to the town. We worked at Eielson during an exercise. Perfect for long days at work while getting plenty of sleep."

"It’s a beautiful property. We had a moose with 2 babies visit us a few times. That was a thrill. The stairs are a bit steep going to the master bedroom but there are good hands rails to help. I works stay again. Loved it."

"Quiet little cabin tucked away in the forest near North Pole, Ak. This cabin is close to Badger Slough where we observed moose grazing on grass at the bottom of the river. The cabin is stocked with everything you need for a nice get away; including towels, sheets, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, dishes, pans etc. It was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this sweet little cabin"
